Nothing, what did you wipe?

 

I wiped everything. In CWM..... Factory reset, cache, dalvik cache, system (everything twice). Then installed. I noticed people taking about mounting the system before installing, that I did  NOT do.

CM comes with its own kernel so you shouldn't need to mount /system.  After all the wiping try rebooting recovery, than flash rom then gapps.

Tried it, still no GPS any other ideas?

Try downloading GPS status from the play store...also...go to location/gps source/internal and select it. Reboot

Downloaded that and gpsfix. Changed the setting to internal gps. Rebooted, tried to get a lock. Still refuses to lock.

Here's a new sync of CM10, had to re download source and didn't add the adj nav bar height back yet, but still has Expandable desktop.

- Added smartassV2, interactiveX, ondemandX, and lagfree governors to kernel (Been using the interactiveX and getting improved battery)

Here's a new sync of CM10, had to re download source and didn't add the adj nav bar height back yet, but still has Expandable desktop.

- Added smartassV2, interactiveX, ondemandX, and lagfree governors to kernel (Been using the interactiveX and getting improved battery)

I've been experiencing many phone.apk force closes with previous version (on gsm), downloading to see if this helps.

I love this; the only issue, if you can call it that, that I'm having is that the phone must be in USB Debugging mode in order to charge from a computer. AC charges fine either way. Pretty sure it was Mic's build. Also have not tested the GPS yet.

Thanks for the builds! we need more roms for the M now that the bootloader is unlocked!

Anyone know how to fix my gps  problem? Maybe it will work in the new update?

I read on the xda thread that before flashing cm you had to enable all your gps settings in stock first. That may have been a safestrap thing though....

Thanks for the info but I'm unlocked and SS removed. Anyone else have anything that might fix GPS not locking?  Let it sit  an hour with no lock.

**Wifi Tip - I find that deleting android.hardware.wifi.direct.xml from system/etc/permissions improves wifi stability. I'll remove it in the next build sync**

Here's a way of fixing GPS I read on this site (Been testing it to see if it actually worked). I had to install a stock based build and get the GPS to get a lock. Then I reinstalled CM10 after getting the lock and I've tested GPS repeatedly and GPS is working perfect. Not sure why it works like that, but it worked for me. Haven't had a problem since doing the lock on the stock build, and I've been flashing alot of builds I been testing out on my phone.

That explains why I never had a problem with it because I never turn gps off lol

So I install a stock based ROM, get gps to lock, keep it on and then flash cm10 normally? Wipe data, system, cache, dalvik cache. Then gps will work on cm10? Just making sure I'm reading this right.
