Couldn't agree more. Root is going to get a tad ugly going forward.

Interesting. Glad I made the decision to go with my Nexus 5, fully unlocked. currently running liquidsmooth or some other custom ROM so it will be interesting to see how these will be updated once Lollipop is officially released...

That's what worries me. If it requires kernel mods, it'll take time to get those out on each new version. So you may get your update to 5.0, but, then you may have to wait for chainfire or someone else to release a kernel mod for it. And locked? BAHAHAHA. GLWT.

True that. Might have to hang out on stock 5.0 until the dust settles a little once the upgrade is released...

I have no intention of staying unrooted for long. I'm grabbing an NX6. This root development has only strengthened my resolve on that. I expect kernel mods to come out for my other devices, but, we don't know how quickly that'll happen. This is going to make my life much more difficult in the Samsung world.

I'm still on the fence about the N6. I think it's a tad too big for my liking. But that could change, trying to find an iPhone 6+ in a carrier store that I can handle and see what I think about the size.

I went to the Note 4 from an XT926 and it feels extremely natural... I'll be buying the NX6 when it comes out as well, and the size was a concern for me as well. However... I compared the size of the note 4 to the NX6 and while there is a difference around .2" in size, I doubt that'll be noticeable unless you were comparing the phones side by side. Granted, the phone size any one person is comfortable with depends on a host of variables like hand size, finger/thumb length, aesthetics, etc., but if you find you're comfortable with the size of a note 4, odds are you'll find the NX6 just as agreeable.I'm still on the fence about the N6. Nice. He's a beast. I need to learn how to make kernel mods to enable permissive mode on the processes that SuperSU requires. Would be nice to be able to do that for the S4 GPE.
