Has anyone heard when Advance Calling 1.0 is going to be released? Did not realize that this new variant was not going to be able to handle phone calls and app usage at the same time. Did not realize how often I used that feature either.

Am also trying to figure out something as well. A friend of mine in the IT department mentioned an article he found about unlocking the bootloader on this phone. Something about Sunshine. I have tried searching, but don't think this method will work on a VZW Moto X 2014. He says it will though. Can anyone confirm that this is in fact possible? Is this sunshine service reputable?
Many thanks

There's only one version out for the X 2014, no? I didn't think sunshine worked on it at all but I could be wrong. AFAIK there's no root for it.

Are you thinking of the X 2013? Cause I don't believe the X 2014 has been rooted yet at all unless I missed something.

No its the Moto X 2014. Unfortunately it is on 4.4.4 (Verizon) Don't think I will ever get such a new phone again. There are virtually no accessories for it, and the developing stuff is obviously just starting so I am guessing it will be a while until someone comes up with root and or unlock capabilities for it. Have heard of unlock codes that can be purchased via someone in east Asia, but the idea of that just seems sketchy. I understand it may have worked for some people in the past, but for some reason it just make me uneasy. Would rather wait, and hope someone finds exploits. I like the sunshine idea, as far as paying a nominal fee for service. Seems only fair given what I can only imagine is immense time and effort in finding these exploits. Bounties from what I have read have been unreliable as far as people living up to their promises of donating.

Lol, no worries. Would have been nice if Moto had called it the X2 or something different so to more easily differentiate between the two as they are in fact very different.
