Android Open Source Project. They take the Android source and make it work on our device. And camera is a last-fix thing, they're extremely hard to get working. Just wait for it.Idk what AOSP is lol, but will this one have fixed some of the major issues from the prior release such as the camera and the data toggle?

whoa dont know what aosp is then turn in your android card.
It's pretty incredible that you knew everything about Android the second you bought your first phone but most people either ask questions or research to learn. There's no need to post something like that and not even answer his question.
AOSP is the Android Open Source Project. Google it for more info

I'm not a developer, nor do I have any idea what goes into it, but is it unreasonable to assume that the camera files that are needed would be in the leaked GSM version?

The Camera modules need to be rewritten for the kernel. Hashcode has started doing so.

Thanks for the clarification, DT. I'm not particularly anxious to leave Abysm, but I'd like to at least try real ICS on a phone (my Xoom's been running Pete's ICS builds since he started making them).

The new build is the first from the rebase to pure AOSP. So, right now all the mods that were in the previous CM9 versions are not there. New better $#!+ is going in.
It is fast and smooth though.
