i dont understand how the update is different the file says 1/27 but just to be safe i rsd tp .744. ota to .748. root with verg v4 got temp unroot with voodoo, install razr boostrapper, bootstrap recov, then try and boot into recov which doesnt work, i hard reset and boot into clock 5.0.2.5 data reset, wipe cache, wipe system, then dalvic, install ics-4.0.3_r1-cm_spyder-2012-01-27-02_55.zip 177mb and it installs fine but says build is pre-alpha 2012 01 25/04:30, like the 1/25 build should that change.....maybe wrong kernel?....2.6.35.7-ge88eaad w30471@il93lnxdroid42#1..............and i see nothing about a screen shot app? ive done it four times im lost about to give up please help

The builds date are the same, I just tweaked it for the USB mounting.

The tether app you included in the build works. But if you go into your Settings and try to turn on the stock tether it just hangs there. I think that may be what he is getting at.

_{Is their any way to get wifi tethering to work. The native support just hangs on turning on wifi and tether for root users starts with errors and doesn't work.}

For the tether app:
Before you turn it on, try going to settings and under device profile choose CDMA/LTE RAZR. That should fix it.

Question, is there a way to change from a ringtone to just use caller id globally? I can't find it in the settings unless I am looking in wrong place......

First thanks for the great feedback and welcome! If the lights hand in the capacitive buttons try toggling auto brightness should fix it

Just tried it for you it works fine deleted one, then multiple, then chose all. No issues here.

Fantastic work devs! This is awesome... been using all day and loving the little subtle differences in ICS.

Just out of curiosity, when applying the next update - what steps should I take? I'm using Safestrap on the safe side of course... do I have to wipe data? Or can I just wipe cache and delvic? Also, I see dhacker29 mention formatting the system. Should this be done when updating as well?

Bottom line is my hope is to be able to update to the next build without wiping data...

Oh and I thought of one more question regarding this ROM, or perhaps even ICS in general. How do you add a shortcut (i.e. bookmark) to the homescreen? When long pressing the homescreen it only gives me options for wallpapers. Is this normal? I don't know any other way to get shortcuts on the homescreen...

Instead of long hold on home screen, long hold on the app from your app list and it will prompt you to select a home screen to put it on; this new method is much faster than the 2.x method. Use the same method for widgets.

Thanks for the reply... but I figured the apps and widgets out. It's the other shortcuts (like a web bookmark) I can't seem to figure out. Maybe it's just the stock launcher, because I noticed when I installed the Nova launcher it had all the options when you long press the screen... but strange things started to happen when I installed Nova so I uninstalled it.

Having issues with Calendar from exchange account not syncing. I also is there a reason there is so much space between the dock and first row of icons on the homescreen? Everything seems squashed. Also wish when I remove the search box that the space actually became usable instead of just empty space. Other than that really liking it, might be my daily rom, i will just switch if really need to use the camera. But everything else is working well. Thanks to the devs.

That method was actually possible in 2.x as well, with the app draw anyway, not with widgets. I always did it that way instead of the long press on home since it is much fewer clicks.
