3 downloads December 6 will be a day that can't be over soon enough. On this day, Apple and Samsung will be going in front of a judge to start a second trail. This time though Apple is looking to include the Samsung Galaxy S3, Note 2, and Tab 8.9 be included in this second waste of time. Now, lets look at what Samsung is asking be included in this wonderful case: Iphone 5, Ipad mini, the fourth generation Ipad, and the fifth generation Itouch. Samsung is going after these devices for allegedly infringing on their many LTE patents. While it seems Apple is out to attack Android they have put out a statement saying "Apple does not seek to accuse the Jelly Bean or the Ice Cream Sandwich platforms operating on any Samsung device." So, what does this mean? It means that Apple truly believe that devices like the Note 2 and the S3 physically look like an Apple product which some older models do but too add devices like the Note 2 is ridiculous and this whole patent war is getting old. If a company is so nervous about a competitor then our system is working right. This type of competition only benefits the consumer until a company, like Apple, start to sue over patents that are so general a desk could be infringing on a smart phone patent. So, what are your thoughts? Are you tired of this? Do you think the patent offices are too blame? and what do you think needs to happen?

I agree, the patent war is getting old and there has to be a line drawn somewhere. One correction though... It may not be the physical look of the phone, but also could very well be the phone hardware. I don't think Apple will win this.

It only take one stupid judge to let Apple win... that's been the issue this entire time. Notice Apple stopped going after Android in the countries where an intelligent judge said Apple is being stupid.

X3 ahh, good old apple. Personally, i cant stand them. While their entire business model may "work" it relys on generating a massive amount of hype over a overpriced model that is updated every year to allow the ignorant masses to update and pay even more for a slightly "better" model. the one thing that pisses me off more about this Patent pissing match (blast, was one p away from having alliteration >.>), is the fact that apple honestly thinks they have the "greater" phone. The one thing that apple is missing is flexibility, they close their market to apps they dont like, lock every little thing on their phones to the point that even the phone companys have to ask apple for help when something goes wrong (one small concession, at least theyre running a linux based os, so its fairly stable). Anyway, on to the point: Apple will continue doing this kind of thing, until they get android devices (aka "the competition") removed from the market, and return to holding the monopoly like they did when they first released the iphone (yeah, palm and blackberry had "smart phones" out well before then, but there was nothing truely smart about them when viewed from the modern age). Apple has always been notorious for working to minimize the risk to their bottom line, and maximize their profits, and android (and... kinda sorta, Windows phone) is a major detriment to their cushy holier-than-thou life.
Anywho, this whole spat over rounded corners reminds me of something else. Since when did apple hold the patent on stainless steel/aluminum backing for electronic devices? (kinda noticed that there isnt a single laptop computer, tablet, or smart phone that has one of these with apple excluded >.>)

Crapple needs to stick it where the sun don't shine, and be happy with their mindless drones that make up a measly 15% of the market share. I get so tired of them... They would have a better platform if they opened up the hardware to be produced by multiple manufacturers.... Competition produces great leaps in technology, and a better product for the end user. Too bad everyone seems to want the headphone jack on the bottom....(Mind exploding)... They have produced a product for people who are ok with a cookie cutter profile.. And of course people who are extremely brand loyal..(You would have to be to put up with the crud they produce.)
