Things get kind of sluggish due to the 2nd core turning off while the phone is sleeping. This is to save battery.

Unfortunately, apps2sd will never work on this ROM due to the base. Hashcode has set the ext sd card as the primary storage. Maybe there is a way to reverse this, but I don't know how as of right now.

Hello,

Has anyone done the complete wipe and motofail reboot of their Bionic lately?

I'm thinking about starting over, backing up my data, purging Safestrap, and then rebuilding my Safe ROM with the latest or suggested version from Verizon. As usual, I'll then restore Safestrap and begin rebuilding Blurry and otherwise on a completely clean slate.

What version of software would you consider best to start things over on the Bionic and then continue with Blurry, since I found it the most useful. Basic info and a link if possible if someone else has already done this would be great. Thanks, Sorli...

Hi bsorli.

Yes, I have ICS 4.0.4 OTA as my stock rom. Updated from GB 2.3.4 to ICS 4.0.4 OTA. Then rooted. Then installed SafeStrap 3.05.

Currently running Blurry 1.4 & WizzedBean CN3 (4.1.2) in 2 SS slots.

Keeping 2 slots open for future ROMs/Testing like Hashcodes 4.2.1 JB which is very alpha right now.

I'm definitely keeping my stock rom as close to verizons default as possible. I rarely boot into stock. Can't think of a reason I'd need to

Mr. HQ - Gets real confusing quick when I look back at my original Verizon 5.9.902 images used to startover and rebuild and how they relate to your GB 2.3.4 to ICS 4.0.4 OTA update reference. Would be nice to have a chart on how these builds line-up and I suspect I'll be fine as long as I'm at or near 5.9.905 and then download the OTA bringing by stock rom up to ICS 4.0.4 OTA like you did.

Oh and btw, how are you using three builds (one safe, blurry 1.4, WizzedBean CN3) and not running out of space? I can't go beyond 2gb for each and anything less is too small and larger simply won't fit.

Eye__dea - sorry about this message slamming your Blurry thread, but I figured it was best to ask here since my plan to go back clean relates specifically to having a more steady version of Blurry 1.4 running on my bionic. Thanks, Sorli...

I meant 5.9.905. After installing (5.9.905 = 2.3.4) via RSD Lite performed the OTA update from the menu. Unrooted the entire time until ICS was installed (6.7.246 = 4.0.4) After install was complete, I logged into my gmail acct. pulled down contacts, etc. then I rooted the ICS. Then installed SS 3.05

My internal memory is 8GB. After I backed everything up, I formatted everything to start. completely clean. I use 2GB per ROM, selecting the 1GB option when formatting the slot. I try to keep my phone as clean as possible with minimum apps. I use my 32GB ext sd card for photos, files, ROMs etc. It can be done. Best of luck.

Use RSDLite and flash this 246 fxz...

Make sure to backup all your stuff, since this will wipe everything except your external sd card.
Make sure your contacts are synced with google.
I recommend you going back to the stock ROM and uninstalling safestrap recovery in the safestrap app before flashing the 246 fxz.
Make sure to flash it with a full battery.
After it is finished, you will need to re-root and re-install safestrap.
Hit me with any questions.

I thought we can't go back to GB or you'll boot loop. There is a 246 fxz out so you can just start fresh from there.

Say what? What are you looking for? The ROM link is in the 1st post and all the Mods are in the 2nd post. Not sure how I can make it any easier than that. Open to ideas to though.

Thanks for the link and yes I'll try this and similar referenced by Mr. HQ. Honestly, I never really liked Gingerbread anyways and if I can't go back that will not be a problem. Your notes of reference are appreciated and thanks everyone for the input and suggestions! Sorli...

After tweaking some scripts with Timmy10shoes help...I have to say battery life is average on Blurry...but I have the fix. Look for a new update soon.

Question for all: you want the new update themed? Or just have the theme available for those who want it?

Actually, I like the theme, but doesn't matter really and both are good with me.

Kinda weird being on stock .246 and looking forward to anything Blurry...new build even better. :) Sorli...

Update: Blurry...running and gunning! All is well again! Thanks everyone for the help!

I would agree with the unthemed and just having the themes available in your ROM mod section. On a seperate note, has anyone else seen an issue with random reboots or a slight bit of lag when waking the phone up? I reinstalled Blurry yesterday after doing full wipes and I havent teaked anything yet but this morning I had a random reboot while having breakfast and playing Angry Birds. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this?

Nothing yet reboot wise on my new install and rebuild and it was mentioned previously that there is issues with one of the processors going to sleep to save power and not starting automatically. Not sure though and my only problem is with Google Talk showing an error every once and while. Sorli...
