Any app that uses the camera as a scanner (Amazon bar code scanner for example) just gives me a still image of the first thing the camera is pointing at when I open the app, and no ability to take a new photo. Anyone else with this issue? Has this already been covered?

I too have searched high and low for a solution to this. Any input would be greatly appreciated =)

My guess would be it's something to do with the JB builds...considering we already know the camera doesn't work properly on them due to kernel incompatibility... but then again, I'm no developer

I rarely use the scanner but I can confirm that it does not work in any app. Not sure if it worked under previous builds of BE AOKP since I don't think I've used it in a long time. Kind of sucks though.

sorry for the delayed response.. been busy with work and been trying to get the damn OP to display properly in Tapatalk.
With the camera not fully functioning (recording with Front facing camera etc), applications such as the bar code scanner, which is going to require a full camera hal, it wont work. so until we get an actual JB kernel, some things that revolve around what is broken/missing from our custom roms will come soon after we see a new kernel source by Moto. hope that sums it up for some people...

Updated to new build and everything is great except for one thing...signal bars aren't showing up in default theme or any other cm10/aokp themes I have tried. I know I have signal as I have been able to make calls. Not a huge deal but would be nice for this to be fixed. Anyone else experiencing this bug?

I can get beautiful shots when there is ample lighting but once it gets dark, i'm back to the quality of a 3 megapixel camera. Even when i turn on my flash i get nothing. And i know my LED next to the camera is working because i use it as a flash light once in a while.

we dont have full camera functions... flash being apart of that.. you can download a camera app from Play that enables flash.. "camera 360" is a good one for the meantime.. btw, this bug plagues all JB builds atm.

heh, sounds like a Call of Duty commercial, noob and the vet. nah, sorry if it came across rude, just woke up~ lol. but yes, flash is a problem that rests in all of the current JB builds., and more than likely will until a signed Moto kernel gets pushed to us.

no worries, I didn't take it as rude. As a matter of fact i have been silently observing the great work you do on these roms. You are .... wait for it.... LEGENDARY. And 360 camera works just fine for me. Thanks for the tip.

OK some questions, i have searched and found nothing on this yet. if i missed it i do apologize. I installed the AOKP version of this and it installed fine, love it so far. but when i go into gapps and try to download previous purchased apps, it just sits there after i hit accept. and never downloads them. this is on wifi and 3g..

Never mind, i got it. just took a bit for the gapps to start actually downloading my apps. sorry... thanks for the kickass rom..
