quick question for any1 who is running BW Aokp JB v1.3, is your Gallery/Camera working correctly? or is it Force closing on any1 when they open the camera? Thanks..

I haven't updated 1.3 yet but I can say that on 1.1 my camera is lagging after a picture and force closes most of the time

*edit* nevermind, problem was a recorded video from 214 (blur) based rom that was causing the issue in gallery making it FC., if your phone is laggy, i can recommend is using a different Governor and I/O scheduler, and using a memory manager to close out recent apps still consuming memory. you should be able to keep around 480-500mb of open memory by using ATK pro.... which will help with the fluidness

Yea I fixed permissions in safestrap recovery I've tried it a couple of times just to make sure I reflashed the ROM w/o running fix permissions and tried sending myself a picture and it just hung while sending rebooted my phone a couple of times and the same MMS was still sending so I cancelled the message booted into recovery fixed permissions booted my phone up sent the same picture and it sent and received

Yes!! Second to confirm, fixing permissions got mms to send and receive. Props to who ever tried it because I came on here approx. 11pmest. downloaded 1.3 flashed and fixed permissions while doing that thinking I haven't tried that yet. It didn't help until I got everything back up, came back here 15 mins ago read about sending a pic first, after it stuck on sending I reboot into recovery->fixed permissions -> rebooted then I watched the pic send then receive as soon as 4G connected . . . ))

I had looked for apps on the market, didnt really find anything. 3gp is great for sharing but sometimes would love to be able to catch the moment.

yeah right now i think its only capturing at 480.. maybe 720. but the camera isnt working completely yet, and the option to change video res isnt available. Yet. If you download different cameras from Play, more than likey they will not have the option to enable 1080p capture because the gallery/camera hash isnt supporting it. ive tested ics camera+ and jb camera+ and they both didnt have the option.

my 214 rom did record some amazing videos in 1080p though thats for sure!!!! it wont be before too long and JB builds will be evenly comparable if not better, all in time.....

must be frustrating answering the same questions all the time huh? I have been guilty of asking and already answered question before and i apologize for not reading through previous posts thoroughly sometimes. you're doing a great job and thanks for providing us with our crack.
just a suggestion for the admins. would it be possible to add some sort of wiki function in the first page maybe under your update posts that members can edit with FAQs related to specific ROMs? maybe that'll take a load off with having to answer the same questions over and over. maybe something in the following format and allowing users to help answer known problems and resolutions

Just a suggestion if it's possible to do to help take the load off the devs who keep having to answer the same thing multiple times. Also it would be a good way to track # of users experiencing a certain problem.

Just read the post above me and I will apologize well ahead of time if this has been answered already. I can't seem to view my gallery. I can view everything on my computer but I just can't see it in here. Is there something going on?

Side note. I am loving this ROM. Thank you for it.

Great idea then Admins could just simply answer read the wiki page a##hole....but for real that would be belpful

Not quite the same problem. Its not force closing, all my pictures are not showing up in the gallery, yet a picture I take now does.

same concept. Aosp gallery doesnt like pictures from Blurcamera so they appear as a gray box... go back to artic and they will show up. load up my 214bw rom and they will show up, because they are blur based roms. these aosp components just dont play well with blur. sorry no thin i can do for u..

Almost tried your suggestion, until, rather than pressing reboot to reboot the phone, I turned it off, then back on. Gallery is working as normal now. Thanks for your help anyways kind sir.

yup, slept on the mms/fix permissions thing. the way god has it, only the pic that gets hung up in sending after fixpermissions/reboot will sends. Cant send anymore after that. Thats for me at least. I got sms pro working in snyc and also downloaded the verizon message app so not sure if not those apps are being thrown into that issue causing more confusion to the system, lol. . .

Awesome on the news of the video recorder!!! . . . I know beggers can't be choosers, was just curious, lol . . .I couldn't believe how detailed the 1080p was!!! Like I said, I took it on a few adult carnival rides, if you watch them you'll probably get a little twirly yourself, lmao!

Late arrival to the discussion, but after using Eclipse ICS for a while, I'm going to give this one a try to see if I like JB-based stuff better. I'm also planning to check out KOA Resurrection just to see which I prefer.

Would I be incorrect in assuming that I can go backward to ICS if I find that I don't like the JB roms? Sorry if that's a n00b-ish question. I've rooted and modded my fair share of devices, but I'm no developer.
