Any thoughts on maybe the procedure of wiping causing the mms to not work, 1) When I first flashed this jb/aokp I came from BW214. 2) I am curious to from stock 214 3) maybe from 215
hmm not sure.. i think its just a bug somewhere in the code,, because each of the Aokp builds are having mms issues, and i know i use a different mms.apk than the others, as i compiled it myself from CM+aokp source back in June.. but with some people having it and then some not.. and sometimes it works then other times its not? not sure how or why this is happening. I was thinking it mihgt have to be kernel related.. but when some1 said it was working for them on the prior build and now it isnt.. leads me to cancel out that thought. Very Weird!!!
but this is my setup!
stock 211. flashed the 214 kernel. installed ics safestrap 2.11. toggled safeside. Wiped data, wiped cache, wipe dalvik cache, format/system, and then install zip from sdcard.
flashed ROM, rebooted. Setup my account and let Play restore all of my apps, then reboot my device and enter safestrap, and then install zip from sdcard, flash BWgtalk, Reboot.
and with this setup, everything is working on my phone. (youtube (i have in settings to play HD videos)), MMS (in settings i disable Notifications as i use SMS popup optons for more customization). i dont use bluetooth to say if it works or not. ..

A quick note to let you know I'm REALLY enjoying this ROM. I've used all the other popular alternatives and I keep returning to BW. I'm using the AOKP flavor. The only issues I'm having don't appear to be related to your code:
(1) screen touches become erratic and unpredictable when charger is plugged in.
(2) can't talk on phone if bluetooth is turned on and not connected.
By the way: When you say you flash the 214 kernel, does that mean that with "Safe system: Disabled" you flash an entire 214 leak?
Thank you for your continued work on BW Jbean!
Dave

This is where I would tell you which ROM I'm running, but I probably just flashed something else.

1. Make sure you're using a Motorola charger. The screen flipping out on you generally happens when there is a non-motorola or non-approved charger connected to the device.
2. Bluetooth is not working currently on any JB Rom, I would disable it unless you can really use it for something. It is a bug though.
the 214 kernel, you need to flash that with Safe System DISABLED.
Also (in general) When playing music on Google Play, and then opening up the Gallery, the music quits and errors out "this track cannot currently be played." But when you close out of gallery and click play from the pulldown notification, it comes right back on, but starts the track from the beginning.
Awesome ROM as always my man!

Gotta say, I'm seriously enjoying it. A while back, flashed the first release of BW JB AOKP, couldn't get data to connect at all.
But now, it's connecting like a champ every time so far. Been running for 2 days now.
After reboot for me, it takes between 10-30 seconds to get 3g, but I can live with that.
Minus the camera flash issue, which has been mentioned to the point you're probably sick to death of it lol, This has become my new daily driver, much improved over BW ICS which is what I was running beforehand.
Lovin' it!
BlackWidow FTW!
Thanks for all your hard work andlaw! You da man!

I have a bug..... happened 3 times today I'm in the middle of a phone call about 6 minutes in the phone reboots..... I can't deal with that I need my phone for work... Anyone else noticed this or is there a workaround

your the first i have heard of this.. and i use my phone daily and personally have not had one problem with anything.
and i cant stress enough, when flashing my rom to follow the wipe and install instructions in the OP, and afterwards, if you use TiBu, do Not restore app+data, just the App. and if u experience problems reboot into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik.... and if that still doesn't work, time to wipe and reflash the rom or goto another...
