package update for BW 4.1.1 ROMS.

what does the package contain?! updates for Gapps!

• Play Music
• Google Talk v4.1
• GMail v4.1.2
• YouTube v4.0.23

Simply download, move to sdcard-ext, reboot to recovery, and flash the zip.. (no need to wipe as my script will take care of it for you). get it

main reason for the update... while i was just releasing my first builds of JB roms for BW, i was still using my old inverted Gapps while i worked on inverting the JB gapps. These are fully inverted, for the most part.. if you notice anything out of place please let me know (can take screenshot) and i will do my best to get it themed. I know the contacts is still white bg, but if i change the bg image to black, the same image is also used throughout a few other apps like (facebook, and maps just to name 2), and if i change it, you will have a few black on black screens so for now... contacts will remain how they are, as the phone contacts are already blacked out so you can use them instead..

My updated bug list::
- No haptic feeback in keyboard or hardkeys or vibration alerts/calls nothing. Regardless of settings.
- No hardkey lighting Somewhat Fixed, was told to turn automatic brightness on and then off every time I reboot, or leave it on.
- Youtube doesn't work Fixed, uninstalled built in Youtube with Titanium Backup. Rebooted. Then installed Play Store version.

- Phone calls not working. Cannot hear them nor can they hear me.

did you not see my response? haptic feedback needs to be enabled within system settings, and for the main apps like (gmail, messaging, keyboard etc), and if your phone calls volume is messed up to where you cant hear anything, sounds like you have bluetooth on (as that is what happens when its on but not connected to anything).........

Running AOKP and I can't get 4g for nothing. I do have a strong 3g signal, but I can't seem to get 4g to come up. Wife's Razr (unrooted, stock) has had 4g all day. On the previous version, I couldn't get data at all. 3g is better than nothing, but I would love have 4g. I was wondering if the base (.211, .214, .215) of the user is why some people have had problems with data, and others haven't.

Those updates are beautiful! Although I wish Gmail came with a select all button Haha.

Yeah, I saw it, none of those fix the issues.

then reflash the ROM. wipe cache and dalvik, format system and then flash the ROM zip.

open up system settings, click on the word More...
then mobile networks, then change/select the Network Mode type: LTE/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA and then 4g should connect up if your in a 4g area... let me know~


btw, i am on 211 system with the 214 kernel, and have Zero issues. ..

flashed ROM and updated Gapps package. Great ROM and love the black and white theme. First time on a BW rom.
scores a little lower on Quadrant than I expected but still seems very smooth. Battery life is great so far. Thanks andlaw!

thanks. yes quadrant won't score the highest as I have the ROM tweaked to be a battery sipper yet still remain fluid. You can always switch out the governor and I/O scheduler, and OC if u want higher scores. but the purpose of bw, theme and all, is for better battery.. while still having a clean UI, darkness rules!!

So just to make things easier on all of us:

Read the entire thread before posting a problem with the ROM. Chances are, it's already been posted.... and possibly fixed.

But if you have a bug that is unique to only you, or maybe one other person on this ROM, try re-downloading and flashing the ROM again before posting "A bug report."

I say this because it's difficult to fix a problem that nobody else is having. Typically, doing a full wipe and reflash can fix little glitches that you are experiencing.

This isn't a complaint or shot at anyone, just wanted to post this for the newbie's and inexperienced crackflashers

Lol, thanks. Every phone I've owned since back in my BlackBerry days (bout 6-7 years ago I think) has been named The Titanic just so I get a chuckle when I plug it in to my PC.

Tried to take your advice for youtube but cant get it to install from playstore. (incompatible update error mesage when installing.
Edit well after reboot it installed but still only plays a couple seconds of video..

Ok last edit so I tried the aokp instead of the cm10 and mms and youtube both work good now (so far) Really looking forward to see what you do with this Andlaw hated coming off your BW ics though..

Just so you know, I just had a random soft reboot...first I've had on the JB rom, do not bad, but I was getting random hard reboots daily on the ICS rom...

hmm that's weird, what were you doing when it happened? and if it was happening on the other ROM, do you use tibu to restore app+data ?
