OK, I'm slightly perturbed... I guess me in all my infinite wisdom had Tapatalk set to auto update. It updated, and even tho I uninstalled the update it's now the regular ugly tapatalk but with the custom icon. Any way I could get an .apk or something for it?

Or do I need to reflash the ROM?

tapatalk 2.2.8 is included in both CM10 and AOKP JB builds. to have it blacked out, in settings choose tapatalk blue dark.

uninstall Tapatalk and reflash without wiping. I assume that would bring it back for you

correct! just go in your app drawer, long press on tapatalk and open App Info. then uninstall updates. you can do this to any apps found within the system/app dir

I was trying to update but it said to uninstall the old one first. When I tried to install the new one from the market it wouldn't allow me. Can I reflash the ROM without clearing data? Will YouTube come back?

This might be a silly question on my part but: after updating Tapatalk, did you go back into Tapatalk settings and set it back to Dark under the Tapatalk Blue setting?

I believe reflashing without clearing data should work...or if you prefer, I can pull the apk from my system and send it to you...

Yeah, WiFi has a little trouble, but for me at least it usually connects...the issue on that (and the pictures in text) seems to be in the AOKP base though...but hey, it's still Alpha, so I'm sure it'll get ironed out in time.

My advice to get text MMS (texting pictures) working is:

Install GoSMS
Go into GoSMS settings> Important Tips
Check "stock SMS uninstalled?"
Now go into system settings> Apps>All
Select Messaging
Disable.
GoSMS will handle the texts & MMS on it's own and they should all work for you

This may be a question for a seperate thread but does anyone here use the Navigation Tablet bar on this rom?

If so can you get the naviation buttons to go away and just leave the notifications? I have the setting set to remove them but they stay no matter what.

Any ideas?

I like this ROM a lot so far.

So far my only bugs are:
- No haptic feeback in keyboard or hardkeys or vibration alerts/calls nothing.
- No hardkey lighting Fixed, was told to turn automatic brightness on and then off.
- Youtube doesn't work

all works for me... haptic feedback needs to be turned on through settings, and each app (gmail, messaging etc,,, in their own settings have notification alert options), youtube works just cant adjust volume while watching a video or it will FC. and for the haptic on the keyboard, go into the keyboard settings, (language & input, click on the settings icon beside the AOSP keyboard, then down into Advanced settings, it should currently be set to -1, you can adjust it to whatever strength you want,.... but it works~

through the MMS settings, can try turning off Auto-retrieve and then see if it will work. ..
