my xt926 is encrypted, and I wanted to try out twrp. Apparently it dosn't support 4.4.2 AOSP encryption and I need to flash the stock recovery to factory reset my phone. My flashify stock recovery backup is apparently corrupt. I am looking for the correct fxz.zip.

My phone is on 182.46.15.xt926 and I downloaded Blur_Version.183.46.10.XT926.Verizon.en.US

Flashed boot.img via fastboot, did not work, automatically rebooted into android. still hunting for the correct fxz.zip, or recovery.img

  2. Press and hold the VOLUME UP key for 2-3 seconds then press and release the POWER key.
  3. Use the VOL DOWN Key to scroll to Recovery and VOL UP Key to Select.
  4. The device will display different DROID Icon.
  5. From the Android system recovery screen, press and hold the VOL UP key for 10-15 seconds. While still holding the VOL UP key tap and release the POWER key.

Do you know why it doesn't work with encryption on? Is your external SD card also encrypted?

I was under the impression that android's disk encryption only affects your data, not the workings of the phone itself (note how you can make calls from the decrypt screen on boot).

Though it is an older version being discussed, that is also what they say here:

I'm curious about this since I'd also like to start using a custom recovery on my phone (frozen on the first 4.1.2 update, planning on unlocking soon) but want to make sure I can keep my data safe since phones are frequently stolen in my city.

Does anyone have a copy of "Blur_Version.183.46.10.XT926.Verizon.en.US" that they can send me, or know where I can download it.  My XT926M Droid Razr Maxx HD is unable to be recognized by the pc, but it is able to load from the SD Card.
