He means tweaking things here and there. Observing battery behavior. Tweaking. Observing battery behavior. In other words it took at lot of time and patience.

Did anyone ever figure out how to get the home button working again. Everytime i install Abysm 1.0, it works but as soon as i update to 1.1, it stops working and i cant figure out how to get it back
Several times it has been said that this is believed to be an issue with GoLauncher, not the ROM. Each version of Abysm is packed with the most up to date version as of the time of it's release.

Downloading the official update on my phone now. I'll save it off and either send it to you or post it (whichever you like) Should be done DL soon. There is no Official .173 update.

So the download was complete, I postponed the install, I looked in /cache and found a file that has a name with the .748 in it not the .173 yet the download page said it was .173 and the date/time was correct. I am already on .748 (re-verified). Deleted the flies that got created and I re-downloaded the update. (on a note-I did look at the files I copied when it updated from .744 to .748 and they where .744 so they should be correct.)
Copied the files out of /cache and they are now on my computer and in the process of being uploaded to a share site. Link:
Verified the files and that we can keep root by, using Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper to backup root and temp un-root, then complete the update, then re-root with Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper.
Works like a champ...

To verify the files and if we can keep root, I'm going to use Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper to backup root and temp un-root, then complete the update, then re-root with Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper. Will provide a status as soon as this is completed.
You could also take the OTA, then plug it in to your PC... provided you have ADB setup and open Terminal.
adb pull /system.
That will grab the entire system folder.
