Just installed this last night using safestrap.
It's not till now that I noticed. My phone won't do the display timeout on its own.
I'm wondering if anyone else is having this same problem?
I don't think I'm going crazy here, am I? Haha

This is probably a stupid question but... did you go into the display settings and double check it?

I did. But I'm guessing a battery stats wipe wouldn't hurt.

Apparently someone from Google's Android team let it be known that wiping battery stats does nothing to calibrate the battery. It's only used to track battery usage, not control battery behavior

I'm not entirely sure what happened. But I rebooted my phone and it's back to normal now.
And yeah, I made sure the display settings were proper before I did my test and posted it here :-).
I should have tried a reboot first too before doing so though.

I'm unable to add a location to trigger smart actions. Has this been an issue for anyone?

I made a post quite a few pages back about this... not sure because I'm not running this rom right now, but I believe smart actions uses social location to determine its location. I believe that DT removed social location because it is a part of blur. If I am wrong please let me know, I know if you freeze social locations on stock rom smart actions cannot find your location. This rom is de-blurred after all. :D

Interesting. Thanks for the response. Is there a way to just get that working? Everything else is working perfectly, but I do find myself using smart actions allot.

I use smart actions a lot, but what I do is I use Juice Defender Ultimate to turn my WIFI on and off (there's also a free app on the market that does this) then I set up a smart action for when my phone is connected to that WIFI. For example, when I leave home Juice Defender turns off my WIFI then my default smart action takes over which is turning the volume to vibrate and turning on 3G. Then when I get back home, Juice Defender turns on my WIFI and connects to my home network and again the smart action takes over turning off 3G and turning my volume to 100%. That's what's worked for me as I found the social locations thing in smart actions rather ridiculous.

You could also try automateit from the market... I believe it has location triggers in it... it must use standard GPS tracking to work, because it should work on android devices that don't have "social location".

The thing I like about Juice Defender (or the other app whose name escapes me at the moment, autowifi or something) is that it doesn't use battery killing GPS but usings cellular location, so while the locating isn't as exact as GPS it's pretty acurate to within like half a mile and doesn't devistate your battery like GPS will.

You grab the social location from a deodexed ROM that has it. Use Root Explorer to drop it in /system/app and set the permissions to rw-r-r

Reboot.

OK, having problems finding that file. Anyone happen to have that file lying around somewhere? :) I like flashing ROMS but not really good at finding files within a ROM.

Download a ROM on to your computer, open up the zip file, go into /system/app and social locations apk should be in there. As DT said make sure the ROM is deodexed or there will be issues. Check out Nitro's stock deodex, that might be your best bet

Works well for me, make sure you're on the latest update 1.13 I think that's posted on XDA and that everything's ok on your computer's end but I just confirmed on my phone that it's up and running with no problems.

So it seems like this is one thing that is taken out of most of the Roms. No luck still. :(

I would check out juice defender or the autowifi app as it will do the same thing you want, but more efficiently. Here's the app I was talking about

try using that in conjunction with smart actions. That'll likely be exactly what you're looking for hopefully.

Ok, I think I found something. Llama app seems the closest to do everything I want. *cough* If anyone wants to upload that deodexed social location app for the smart actions *cough* that would be AWESOME!!!
