I'm gonna have to change it out today.
BT doesn't work
Camcorder doesn't work
Signal bars show low to none signal even when there is one.
Data is still wonky. Says there is data but no connection. Needs a reboot to fix
Exchange not working. Need it for my work email.
Nice rom but I need working everything. Bummer. Was nice to play with 4.2.2 for a bit.

yeah I can't go with AOSP until those things get fixed

From the sounds of it, the reason it was taking so long is they were trying to automate it a bit as well. Did you ever do the Bionic one?
No. Between the two jobs and the volunteer fire department, I just couldn't find the time to sit down and read up on Linux. Anyway I just sold the Bionic to a Moot community member so maybe he will root it..
I did not realize how delicate the DNA screen was. I scratched mine with my fingernail !
Yep. I thought there was something on the screen so I used my nail to scrap it and I'll be darned if I didn't scratch it in two places. It was cheese on there, so I am pretty sure that wasn't it..... BTW, don't ask.....
Do you buy cheese made of Iron or Steel?

YaY Moonshine works

I am lost. I ran moonshine. My bootloader says S-off, but nowhere does it say unlocked.
I run it through HTCdev and it tells me my MIN is not allowed.
Is my bootloader unlocked, or not?
If not, how do I unlock it?

I haven't looked into Moonshine yet sorry I can't answer your question Dave...
To those wanting to try an AOSP rom be warned not only about my issues posted above but it also moves all your SD card files to a new 0 folder. When I went back to a Sense Rom I had to transfer ALL those files back to the root of the SD card. It was a major freakin pain and took forever. Of course I had to do it because our SD card is small and you need all the room you can get.
That said Viper and Nos Sense 5 are killer roms

Well, considering I stayed up literally all night messing with ROMs and kernels, i'd say my answer is Yes, I have S-off and apparently can do anything I want. I guess the CID unlock thing I was confused about is if you want to run it on a GSM carrier. I am under the impression that S-off is like God mode, as there's nothing it hasn't let me do so far.

If I were to figure out Linux and if I rooted my DNA with the Moonshine, will I be able to uninstall the bloatware on the stock OS? I need something to motivate me....
You could even back it up and install a pre-debloated version of the stock OS. The motivation is "do it now before HTC updates the OS and blocks the exploit"

BTW I absolutely HATE Sense 5.
WHY did they do away with lockscreen weather animations, and why am I forced to have a social network home screen?

By the way, you're not rooting it with Moonshine, root is part of the process but you are completely turning security off. You're essentially turning it into a "dev edition"

Step 1 - download Ubuntu 13.04 desktop and follow instructions for creating either a live USB or a live CD/DVD
Step 2 - boot from said USB or CD/DVD
Step 3 - open Firefox, go to
Step 4 - follow directions there to get correct file, Firefox automatically downloads it to ~/Downloads
Step 5 - plug phone in, extract file, and type sudo ./distiller
Step 6 - wait for it to finish, profit. Unplug phone and reboot into Windows. Congrats, you are now S-off
ZERO Linux experience required, as 13.04 seems to have all the necessary USB stuff to connect to the device.

The easiest way for those that do not run linux would to be run Ubuntu via live Usb so it would be running separate from windows.
All depends on the machine you're booting linux on. As with every OS they will not have every driver for every variety of hardware but Ubuntu does a pretty good job on covering the basics.
