I am loving this battery life!
What ROM are you running? I'd love to get battery life like that.
Another n00b question. Once I download Ubuntu 13.04 all I have to do is burn the .iso image to a DVD, boot my computer from the DVD drive and select try Ubuntu?

Yes that's exactly what you do. I figured you would go the windows method. From the sounds of it, it is less troublesome. As for ROM, Memnoch keyed me in on Viper with a custom kernel. One definitely worth checking out.
I was looking in to the Windows method and it just sounded confusing.. I downloaded Ubuntu 13.04 last night and am getting ready to play around with it today so I might as well just continue along that path. Who know I may be S-Offed by this evening.

Kaos. That picture you posted of the battery life, is that a sence5 based ROM?
Nope. Viper is Sense 4+

Must have had the battery page tweaked a little. Still on stock and I don't have the Application Monitor tab. I'll be looking into that ROM once I read up on a recovery program and save a stock back-up. I'm liking the battery life.

I was going to put a recovery program on today but the wife took over the computer. Now I'm being rushed out the door going to the in-laws for don't. Now I have to wait until next weekend. Sigh.

Download goo manager from the play store and you can install it from there. If you start it and click the search and search openrecovery you will see twrp . If you want cwm, search for that.
Actually, I think if you just click the "flash ROMs" button, it will pip up with a thing that says you need a custom recovery and give you an option to look for a compatible one.
