Please forgive me. I'm sure this has been beaten to death. I've been reading and reading many forums and can't seem to find a solid yes or no answer. Also because of medical reasons I've been out of the loop so to speak. The last ROM I flashed was in February.
I am currently on the bootloader for 4.2.1 unlocked, rooted with working SU running CM11 of Feb. I would love to update my CM build to one with the new Theme Engine but keep getting a Status 7 error which I think is due to the old bootloader. Is it possible to update my bootloader?
I know ADB and RSD and if pointed in the right direction am very capable of doing any flashing or using any tools needed.
Thank you in advance for any input.

Just a quick update for anyone interested.
I had a chance to have a few hours of me time a couple nights ago. Got my Unlocked XT907 updated with zero issues. Only took about an hour including the downloads.
Rooted with CM11 M10 installed and all setup.
Big thank you to the Dev that put that thread and those tools all together. Much respect. Sorry about being all Noobish.

You should update to the 4.4.2 Bootloader. Update your TWRP to v2.8.0.0. There are more roms and support on the KitKat bootloader compared to the JellyBean bootloader. Just my opinion, you don't have to update to it, but one big difference is the annoying screen dimming issue is gone in the KK bootloader builds.

has a few quirks to work out, but over all it is awesome.
