I have a Droid Razr M, rooted and unlocked. Will I retain root after an OTA update from 182.46.10 to 182.46.15? If not can I root with towelroot?
Thank in advance.

Maybe if I keep repeating myself every time someone with an unlocked bootloader asks if the latest non-working root exploit will work for them over and over again it'll start to sink in....
UNLOCKED USERS DO NOT USE ROOT EXPLOITS....They install custom recovery and flash supersu zip like big boys and girls.

Once your unlocked you don't need towelroot any longer. With an unlocked bootloader you just need to flash su from your custom recovery. No longer need exploits to gain root.

Can we make this a scrolling banner, so that it shows up on every single page you choose to look at on DroidRZR? haha Heck, this even needs to be done over on XDA too.Maybe if I keep repeating myself every time someone with an unlocked bootloader asks if the latest non-working root exploit will work for them over and over again it'll start to sink in....

Tell me about it. If only there was a thread that documented this process....

Thanks for getting the download Sam!
I used this process to get the KitKat 4.4.2 (183.43.10) and it worked perfectly.
However, when I tried it this time (going to 15) RSD kept failing. Normally around step 11. So I decided to try to reboot my phone after it failed, to see if trying to get into fastboot again would help at all. After I turned it off, it doesn't come back on. Held power with and without volume buttons to no avail.
Any ideas? Did I brick it?
Thanks!

That's messed up. Post the swdl.txt from your RSD install folder and we'll see if we can figure it out. But you've got to figure out how to get it back to AP Fastboot mode else we're not going to be able to fix it. What was the battery state when you started flashing? My concern is that it lost battery while flashing and that's not good. Plug it into a wall charger and see what happens. But make sure to get me the log and I'll see what happened.

Yeah, I'm not sure how to get it back into fastboot, since hitting power isn't working. Any idea on what would happen if I took it apart and removed the battery and reconnected it back? The battery level was around 80% when I started to do all this. I'll try to connect directly to the wall charger as well. Here is the log file.

The wall charger should charge it assuming that's the issue.
When someone says "here is the log file" generally that's followed by the log.

REQUEST:
Can someone who's flashed this successfully post an about phone screenshot. Specifically someone who's successfully flashed this particular FXZ.

Oops. Put it back in the original post. Tried the wall charger. Still didn't boot, so it's not the battery....

it failed on boot. That's messed up. I've gotta run to a call but I'll think about this.

I also noticed that when I plug in my phone via USB to my computer I get a device called QHUSB_DLOAD device. Looking around I see that normally means I bricked it. They mentioned something about JTAG fixes. Not sure if that could be a way to go about getting it back to working.

Is this based off what was posted in your XDA thread?
