Looks good.  I'm going to have you do something real fun now.  You will need to follow my directions COMPLETELY if you want this to have a prayer in hell of working.

1) Download my House of Moto

2) Install it with the 183.46.15 FXZ and have it generate the script

3) Run the flashme script to flash the phone

Now here's the pay attention part....

On GPT, select NO

On TZ, select NO

On Erase User Data, select whatever you want

See what that does.

Running HouseOfMoto 4.1 and selecting the motofirmware image at

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

 gave me:

Custom recovery not found.
Using factory image: VZW_XT926_4.4.2-KDA20.62-15.1_CFC_1FF.xml.zip
ERROR: XML script not found in this factory image.  This is not yet supported.

which is odd since I had unzipped this to feed the xml file to RSDLite so the file does exist

Yea, ok, then you're one of the lucky ones that has a hardware failure in the emmc that the rom is stored on.  I've never seen a phone with this issue be recovered.  It's not a software issue.

By any chance, can this happen if USB debugging was not turned on before my phone froze on me? I am not sure what was the last state as last I touched that setting was year+ ago way before the Kitkat updates were pushed.

If you're returning the device, follow the directions in the OP for flashing this.  If using the House of Moto, saying yes to wiping data will prepare the device to ship back as it performs a factory reset while flashing.

While using HoM 4.1. I got <bootloader> not supported error.

Everything finished I was on 4.4.2. The phone returned to stock condition.

I have to return the device to Motorola.

What is the bootloader error? Do I need to redo HoM?

If your phone booted up and all is well, then no you shouldn't need to re-do HoM...:) :)

If flashing this factory firmware from after having a custom rom flashed you should wipe the cache and delvak. if that doesn't get rid of it you may have to do a FDR
