IF USERS on STOCK ICS want a method for getting that onto a rom-slot as well, let me know.

First off Thx Hash for the efforts like always. That said when time permits if you could put together what is needed for ICS on a ROM slot would be great. I'm no fan of leaks or messing with them anymore but would like to have an option to mess with stock SW tho.

I recommend swapping back to stock ROM where you can install right over the old app. Then go into Safestrap APK and use "Install Recovery". Should be good to reboot and test Titanium Backup restores which were giving errors before in the rom-slots.

The download is going very slow for my using my phone I get 38-40 mbps with my wifi and it still goes slow.

I installed the latest version & created a 3GB ROMslot(as my stock showed I was using over 2GB already. To try things & get ready to start flashing stuff I made a backup of my stock & restored it to the slot I created. Everything seems to be working except it doesn't seem that some user data was backed up/restored. I had to d/l & apply my elixir widget icon packs & the real race game that came on the ROM needs to d/l the 400MB update again.

My apps usage went from over 2GB to only 863MB. I'm thinking that maybe my extracted folder was being added to the apps in the storage manager. My used & free don't quite add up to 3GB either.

I didn't test this yet since everything was already there from the backup/restore. I was planning on getting another paid app so I guess if it doesn't work still I'll just have to wait or go back to my stock slot.

Edit: I just installed a paid app I no longer use & it worked fine for me. However when I uninstalled it my navigation bar & keys disappeared & I had to do a reset(the app does put something in notification area so it be related to said app).

Yeah & if hashcode adds the ROM slot Chooser on the boot screen it will be even better for switching. I don't normally switch that often so I'm fine the way it is, hell I was fine with the way it was just because it opened a lot of doors for us, but this is much better.

Are you on a retail standard model with 16GB internal emmc chip? From what I saw there won't be enough space available to make the 3GB data. Only the MAXX models (with 32GB internal emmc) have enough I think.

Can you go show me a "ls -l /sdcard/safestrap/rom-slot1/" ?

From his picture, he still is only able to use approximately 2gb of the 16gb internal memory. Am I missing something? For instance, I have the RAZR Maxx HD and Im on the stock slot. Its showing I have 32gb of internal memory. After apps, pictures, audio and downloads, I have 21.74 gb left to use. However, if I follow your method and use Slot 1, I only had 1.62gb of space after everything. Still a bug I take it?

Well after flashing a new ROM I got the can't install on USB error.

Strange that it worked on the restored backup of the stock slot.

I didn't want to unlock it & void my warranty right away in case there's something wrong with & until I get to the point that can't do what I want/need with SS I probably keep it locked. I've been really tempted to unlock it though, but since hashcode got us SS already I should be content for awhile.
