Yes, that occurred to me, just after I made my sarcastic remark...my apologies. Just go into settings, scroll to About Phone, and tap on System Updates

Not to sound rude, but perhaps you should read the instructions in Post #1 again

We'll get it figured out for you. Your about phone is saying: 0.6.25.xt92 yet it says your system is up to date?
Besides SafeStrap have you done anthing else to your phone?

Also if you can take a screenshot of your about phone and post it that'd probably be helpful.

SafeStrap is the only thing ive done.. and rooted.. its on 0.6.25.xt92 and saying "your device is up to date.

I don't recall, exactly, but I think that you may need to fastboot back to stock before doing anything else considering you've had SafeStrap already....perhaps someone else can verify (or debunk)?

I was thinking of maybe just opening SS and uninstalling recovery then try the update. But he was quick with the fastboot.
Edit: I'll try it next time I fastboot just to see what happens.

Now Root and then protect root and you should be good to go!

Sorry, I wasn't specific with my question. I can understand the OTA failing as a result of SS being installed. That makes perfect sense. What doesn't make sense is if you're on the unsafe side, the update should still be FOUND and prompt you to install it. Somehow SS is preventing that from happening on this phone??

It would be a good point to be clear on. Cause if SS is indeed preventing the phone from even seeing OTA updates, that's not good. I can totally understand it interfering with installation since it modifies system files to do the hijack. But, it shouldn't break the update check itself. UGH. Something to consider....if someone wants to throw some time testing it or asking Hash about it, I'm sure your community would benefit from the knowledge. Might solve a few headaches down the road.
