Have some fun..... do it... you can learn a lot from your experiences... then when the official rolls out you will be a step ahead of where you are nowso as im still a n00b.. i was planning on rooting and installing the leak today. will it even be worth it since the soak tests are starting to roll out? and as far as keeping root when the official JB gets here.. is that possible? will it be just like you would do for rooting and installing the leaked version? ie: using rootkeeper then restore? just trying to figure out if i should do it all now or just wait.

I heard about this too, but can anyone really talk about it?
People in the soak test that have signed the NDA, no. But people like me who don't own the phone and simply read the news, sure, why not.

I hope so. In the mean time, I'll be patiently waiting for a kind Samaritan to upload the file. I was waiting for my MAXX to ship all weekend and was super sad to find the dead link on the day I was finally able to start working on it.
You have to know how these things work. If it's not on the cheesecake servers, it ain't gonna be a soak test. Meaning it's likely the build you guys already have or someone hasn't been doing their homework checking the servers. I know that they've been checked so I'm guessing you're going to get the build that's already been leaked.

Understand not wanting to start over.... again.... but for me, starting over is no big deal.... on my og razr, ive got starting over down to a science lol.... (13 min from first wipe, to running matts utility to restoring all my user crap)well i already installed the leak.. i think like 2 weeks ago.. but wanted to root, plus JB gets rid of Mass storage and now my Media Sync program and others wont detect it. so i found an APK that gives mass storage capabilities to JB.. but i needed to be rooted.. which i can only do in ICS.. so last nigt i went back to stock.. started from scratch. reeeeally dont want to lose everything again. lol

lol, sadly.. im getting there too. the backup program i used didnt backup for shiz.. so spent all day at work today putting everything back in their places and redoing settings, blah blah from memory and the three screenshots of the homescreens i took. lol i have OCD so everything has to be nice and neat in their place as it was when i started. its usually a 2-3 day process.
i just finished up my stuff tho so its all good to go. i was just informed that the actual JB has the option to choose "mass storage" unlike the leak. (if thats not true, please someone tell me) which solves ALL my problems and the reason to this whole fiasco. lol

Also, is there a link to the original ICS I can download?
