+1 +1 +1 ....... once you gain even a basic understanding of ADB a whole new world opens up for youJESUS GO IN HEAVEN THANK YOU.lmfao
This goes for all ! The bottom line is everyone that's rooting and modding there phone needs to learn ADB . There are plenty of threads on DR and the net. Why? That is simple, that knowledge of ADB is valuable , if not essential. Yes you can get by not using it. When a person understands ADB and how the applets from busybox interact with your phone. You have a better understanding on how to fix things, how to push and pull apps, how to set permissions, just to name a few. There is so much to learn when using ADB , it can take years to fully comprehend it . All you need is a basic grasp on how it works, the rest can be told to you by a more experienced user or the internet. Just ask @24V he has taken his knowledge to the next level with understanding ADB and using the tools that come with it. This is just a suggestion you can take it or you can tell me to go pound salt!

Yea, you start writing scripts like the House of Bionic. LMAO! Seriously, though, I learned more stuff about ADB last night while adding new functionality to my script. A basic understanding of fastboot and adb are absolutely critical when playing with leaks/root/etc IMO. It can really save your, uh, bacon in times of crisis.

The House of Bionic was a little script I originally wrote to help myself manage installing leaks without losing data. (It's a very precise method that allows you to move between leaks of the same type....i.e. ICS at the time....where the previous OS didn't touch the system data when you reverted temporarily to flash the new leak). It grew into what I have today and is used by several thousand users now. OMG. I never expected it to get so big! So be careful!

Getting
assert failed: file_getprop("/system/build.prop","ro.build.fingerprint"
) == "motorola/xt926_verizon/vanquish:4.0.4/7.7.1Q-144_VQW_S33425-2/3:us
er/release-keys" | | file_getprop("/system/build.prop","ro.build.f
ingerprint") == "motorola/xt926_verizon/vanquish:4.1.1/9.8.1Q_37/39:user
/release-keys"
E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted
Should I be on that small update that was updated, because i haven't?
Should I rename file to update.zip

Sorry, I am, failed to mention.You need to be on the OTA update to flash the KB leak, and you need to unroot with Rootkeeper before as well.

Aside from being a chore to retain root, how's this leak treating you all? Still have good reception, call quality, data speed, etc.?
~~ Tapped from the 7th dimension~~
Very Smooth. Only problem is my USB Mass Storage ISN'T Working. Does anyone have a fix for this???

No I meant about the rootkeeper part, DID NOT KNOW I needed to be on the OTA update too. Didn't see that in the OP, must have missed it! Updating to the update, then will attempt again. Thanks
Ah, ok. Yea, you need the OTA patch in order to be able to install JB.

Any particular instructions I need to look for or? I have used the utility before anything I need to know other than just starting the utility and running it
It would be nice if there was a post around the first page inserted with all the steps, post 110, some stuff about updating root first, and some other things. Someone should do that, saves the noobs to a thread/phone/update/????? so you don't have to read all #319 posts here
Good info in here, just see the same questions asked over and over!

I will take care of that, when I get home if DDX is OK with it...
