I have an xt926 maxx hd which I just updated to 4.4.2 using the OTA 182.46.10, I then rooted (towelroot) and unlocked (motopocalypse) it. Everything seemed to work fine, could reboot no problem, everything worked fine. I then tried to use a KK wifi patch which included using Root Browser and some very simple steps (link to exact procedure:
). I thought I followed everything step by step, but when I restarted the phone.....Nothingjust black screen. I was finally able to get the motorola icon to show, then it would go black. I then went into fastboot menu by pressing some combination Vol +, Vol -, PWR. I selected Fastboot and made a bit of progress becasue now if I am plugged into the wall I can hold down Vol -, and PWR, then the motorla logo comes, then it shows the battery charging level (which is fully charged now). If I hold any combination of buttons after seeing battery state, phone goes black again. This is as far as I can get. I can get to the battery meter screen easliy now, but cant get any further. And now I cant even get back to the menu screen that has 'fastboot' option. Only Moto logo then battery if plugged in to wall. If not plugged in only can get to moto logo.
My question is, ....Is the phone salvagable. I'd love to get back to my 4.4.2 but I am completely willing to run a custom mod like CM 11 or Paranoid Android on this phone if it is possible. I know this is a long post but I am in a bind and need to make a decision pretty quickly if I need to buy a new phone or if this one can be salvaged at all! I did not do any kind of recovery or anyhting like that, I never thought it would be this bad. I am somewhat familiar with installing CM roms, but not much, I put CM 10 on a nook+ using clockworkmod installer about a year ago, but I am no expert by any means. Any help is greatly appreciated.
