I'm using this recovery 2.8.1.0 and wanted to report back that it is working as expected. Thanks for your hard work.

Its hard to let go of jbbl when it still does some things better then kkbl. I'm on kkbl but often think of going back to get stronger WiFi and better battery life

I agree entirely. I flashed stock kk and unlocked my bootloader then tried various kkbl ROMs but had issues with wi-fi. since i do not use data, wi-fi is my only connectivity source. i went back to jbbl and have been on cm10.1.3 ever since (many months now) without any wi-fi issues and absolutely awesome battery life. but let's not digress from the OP, this is not the place to discuss the merits/demerits of our bootloaders. If the OP can make twrp 2.8.2.0 on jbbl, we'll be grateful. if not, we're still thankful he was kind enough to make 2.8.1.0 on jbbl :)

WiFi issues have always been prevalent on the aftermarket ROMs for the Razrs. From what I read a while ago, it's because the WiFi drivers (or whatever is needed to make WiFi run properly) is closed source and didn't get released by Moto. If you don't understand the risks of aftermarket (such as weak WiFi), then I suggest just keeping it stock. My M runs stock and WiFi is never an issue. I'm saying it's time to move past JB because support for it is already dropping off. JB is 4.1, there are ROMs kicking out now that are 5.0. That leaves 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4 in between, that's a huge version gap and I don't see JB hanging out very much longer because of that gap. I suggest finding a way to make KK work or permanently stay on JB and no longer have any dev support for it. It may also be time to change devices and get something that runs on KK or LP with no issues. ;)

I was running [FXZ] 4.4.2 183.46.15 (unlocked & rooted) on my XT907. I had TWRP 2.8.1.0 installed. Then I flashed CM11 M12. Now my external SD card failed (it was less than three months old!). So now I need to reflash TWRP on my new SD card.

Question: When you state that you must be running 4.4.2 bootloader ONLY, does that mean I have to revert back to stock before reflashing TWRP?

CM11 M12 Snapshot reports that it's based on KK BL 4.4.4. That is most certainly not "4.4.2 only", so no TWRP for me on XT907?

4.4.2 is KK, this TWRP is for KK. That should answer your question.
