I don't find myself as anxious to upgrade this X nearly as much as I wanted to upgrade my bionic; I can do with a delay.
If the change log that was posted is accurate, there isn't much user facing changes at all.
Though, this may be starting to set a bad tone. The X was supposed to be quick quick with these updates. The droids seem to be ahead already

I'm giving them a break on this one only cause they had 4.4.3 ready to go and had to pull it cause Google let loose 4.4.4.  The Droids were more urgent as they were still on 4.4 and were just about to get 4.4.3, as well but had to push it out another month to do 4.4.4.  So they decided to do those first.  The reality is ALL the builds for the 2013 Droids and Moto X variants are done at the same time as it's the exact same code base for all of them....just packaged and signed individually.  So, ok, Moto, you get a pass on this one.  But I expect to see L 4 weeks after my S4 GPE gets it!  :D

Soak is starting today.  Once it's out there, I'll release the FXZ with instructions to flash it with my RSD Flasher.  :)

I believe more good news is on the way. Dan may or may not have demonstrated a proof of concept to defeat TrustZone, and permanently unlocked a moto x bootloader.

I haven't seen much info around on it yet. http://www.reddit.co...omments/2csyiq/

I am thinking if picking one off eBay for $100. Back cover has a small crack. Ifix has a great write up on replacement. Still a good phone? Does the 1 gig more ram help vs the RAZR HD maxx?

I have the DE and it is a good little phone.  Much faster than the HD Maxx.  Drawbacks is no sd card.  But with the otg support I don't miss it. Still waiting for the upgrade to 5.1 which moto will upgrade it to.  I enjoy the phone and use it when I don't want to carry Shamu around.

That sounds like a good deal but before you buy, make sure that you see the real pictures of the phone and note anything that doesn't look right on the phone.  Some people will use stock images for their pictures on e-bay.  Just buyer beware.  It may be a deal that's too good to be true.

I've got the Moto X XT1060 Developer Edition off of Amazon back in February and I'm so glad that I did.  It's a very nice phone and is very fast in my opinion.  I got it for around $200 and it was in excellent shape when I got it.  I keep it in cases and screen protectors to keep it looking that way too.

I have a feeling that we'll get Lollipop (5.1) here pretty soon and looking forward to giving that a spin on this phone.

I agree completely.  I got my DE xt-1060 registered it because it was new and is covered by the factory warranty for a year.  One thing about the moto x DE is that some of them left the factory with improperly coded boot loaders.  Mine was one of those.  I had to go through motorola and get the unlock code manually instead of off the motorola unlock site. They offered me a new replacement if the code didn't unlock it. But it worked fine. It is much faster than the 926

Luckily, mine unlocked like a charm through the Motorola web site.  One thing that I didn't like about my Samsung Galaxy S3 was the fact that I couldn't unlock the bootloader on it.  That and the fact that the phone was slow as molasses at times frustrated me to no end.

I'm still here too. And, when and if it comes, I'm not sure I want it. This thing may be getting old, but it runs perfectly on stock 4.4.4 with Xposed. Don't know if I want to take a chance on 5.1. We'll probably wait for the fxz to drop, and I hear some good reviews before I update.

Still have mine too. I never even unlocked and rooted it. Haven't found the need yet. It actually feels good to give up the crack flasher habit lol.

Me too! I love my 2013 X. And I am also rocking Kitkat with Xposed.

The only thing that I would consider upgrading to Lolli for is multi-window support. But I've gone so long without it, I don't know that I care all that much.

My wife and I both have XT1060DE and love them.  Hers is completely stock, so I will let her be the guinea pig if 5.1 ever drops.  I will keep mine unlocked and rooted until (if) i decide 5.1 is worth having.
