I want to know what the heck you need 128 GB in the phone for? You have all your music in RAW ? I use a wireless drive.

Did you format it as exfat or fat32?I have one working fine. On both kitstalk ROM and I've tried it on stock kit kat. Both work. I formatted it on the phone first to make sure it works properly but that may not have been necessary. Amazon $120.

I prefer wav files and lossless audio. Also backups, files, videos etc. I'm putting while discographies on my micro SD so the space is filled quickly. I'd rather have too much space rather than not enough.I want to know what the heck you need 128 GB in the phone for? You have all your music in RAW ? I use a wireless drive.

I have been using SanDisk 64GB for a long time in both the xt912 and the 926.
I was doing many TiBu backups and also doing a lot of flashing and backup/restore of many ROM's
I kill these things about every 6 months, just to let you know.....the one currently in my 926 I started using at the end of March, and also am now doing fewer backups to try to increase the life of theses things.

That's what I have started doing as well. I do backups once a week now with TiBu (as well as upload the backups to GoogleDrive).
I also use to use that as the internal SD card, but that caused it to die even a quicker death due to the amount of writing to it. Now, I store my music and pictures on it and when I have to do a nandroid backup, that's where it goes. Otherwise, not much writing going on there.

That was my point exactly. For the life of these things, I don't see spending the big $'s when so much of what is on there is not used daily. I now only leave one backup on the card so I can at least get up and running if something goes bad, then xfer from the wifi drive as needed. I keep the thing in my truck, so I can access it 90 % of the time while I'm at work, home, etc. without having to touch it. Stream from it, copy to/from etc.

Yeah, I've also killed three cards so far, one in the M and two in the HD. I don't do much music on my phones, but I was pretty pissed about losing pics that I didn't have backed up. All of these cards were the "cheaper" cards from Amazon. For my M8 I decided to buy one of the "expensive" cards to see if it is any different. Either way, I've started automatic backup of my photos to G+ and I keep very little data on my extSD. I'll have to check out that wireless HD, Kaos, that looks pretty cool.

I can't imagine lugging that thing around with me everywhere I go! Especially when I'm at daughter's volleyball tournaments (all day affairs and I don't feel like having to try and keep track of where it's at and not have it stolen).
Still, pretty neat, but I think I'll be okay with my 64gb card. It's lasted me over a year now, especially since I've reduced the amount of writing to it.

On the external SD's for me, they start to mount/unmount randomly. Internal- I've only seen a few devices that have had symptoms that look that way and usually show up when trying to fix random issues by flashing firmware and getting random write errors repeatedly.

How do u know when your internal or sd card storage is dying? What are the symptoms u guys have seen?
For me, I'll start to see files disappear for no reason, or others get corrupted.
