For me the issues are mostly the wifi sucking badly....and BT could be better. I am doing OK otherwise. However, I have been mostly running Stock KK. Every few days, I restore LS or Omni, do an update, play a day or two and then go back to Stock since I find the wifi just a bit better and the performance is definitely better

I understand, but I started the thread to be KK and 926 specific.

Anyone try the LS 7-27 build by jsnweitzel? Or have any other ROMS that are working well on the new KK bootloader?
Thanks!

Yes, it works well. LS is one of my favorites for a long time. It has the same issues as the rest of the roms....BT and wifi are weak...

What will have to happen before those get any better? Is that on Motorola's end or something that the devs will fix?

But if we are on a custom ROM then why is it their code? Sorry if I'm not making sense.... haha.

radios are part of firmware that the OS (Stock or Custom) will work with to communicate properly...so its the firmware that is tweaked, which is why in Stock the problem exists too

Thanks for the explanation. That make sense. After reading around on the net it sounds like Moto is well aware of the issue. I just hope they take the time to come up with a resolution for these older phones.

Hello,
Is BT and WIFI the only main issues with these ROMS? I just switched from 3g to 4g Droid HD in order to use 4G hotspot as comcast is jacking my internet prices. can you recommend a stable rom with good battery life that doesnt require to much maintenance? or should i return the phone and get something else?
thanks

You can ignore my PM. I found this thread. lol
I disagree that Moto has zero motivation to fix this, though. They WILL lose customers over it. Period.

I agree, because it sounds logical. And certainly - even though it may be a small sample size - there are quite a few people with this device that are complaining (see here: ) But often times big corporations don't do what seems to be logical: providing their customers with a product that makes them happy.

Taking this with a grain of salt, but it looks like there is a possibility that a fix is coming in the near future according to this comments at the bottom of the page here:
Fingers crossed.
