My device (XT926) was unlocked a while ago, and wasn't subject to the recent Towelroot goodness that many Razr HD owners came to enjoy a couple of weeks ago. As such, there was no need for me to flash back to VZW's KitKat stock firmware (which evidently also updates the bootloader to KK). My conundrum started with the most recent LS update that required an updated bootloader, and everyone's universal chant was "just update your bootloader". Fine. "Please tell me how to do it", was my reaction to that. Sorry, didn't mean to be a PITA, but I've learned from other people's misery that the slightest flashing fauxpas with these devices can lead to a brick.we have plenty of tools here from Sam that does the same....not sure why you seem to be confused...

My device had an unlocked bootloader already, so I'm not sure how the Towelroot thread applies here. But thanks anyway. Another poster on the G+ already provided exactly what I'm looking for, and for those that are interested in updating their bootloaders to KK, you might want to take a look here:
Thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't find much on updating the bootloader from googling, so this helps big time.
Update: just wanted to give people the heads up that this worked. I downloaded the zip, edited the XML, put it thru rsd lite, and then had to fastboot the twrp IMG. Not too many problems.
I decided to go with kitstalk 4.4.4, but it still works like a charm.

Hi guys,
Can someone tell me what would be the best rom in terms of battery for our Maxxs? 'Cause I am trying right now the Kitstalk, it works very good but I'm dissatisfied with the battery, I can squeeze only ~1h for display and ~1h for calls by being in 3G mode for a period of 24h (I have always Mobile Data and Sync turned on) By the way what are your stats for battery?

I have 24+H on my Razr M (2000mA battery) with 3-4H screentime an 1-1.5 H calls... But - 2G only network.
One question - have anybody issues with mic? I have the next - my subscriber can`t hear me sometimes..

No - if you can`t install 3.0 builds. You must downgrate for it.
P.S. 3.1. release is available for now! (KK BL)

Having some app install issues on the Official 3.1....some of my games wont install, getting the Error couldnt install on USB storage or SD Card.
off to find a solution, unless someone has one already
EDIT: One very unperfect workaround is to dismount the external sdcard, install apps and remount sdcard.
Someone suggested a reformat of the sdcard in the phone, but havent tried that one yet.

Anybody else having issues with their GPS? I just installed the LS--KK-v3.1-official with a 7/12/14 build date and tried to use google maps navigation today and continually lost the GPS.
I started out on LS just a few days ago on one of the nightly builds. I liked it so much that when I seen the official build I updated right away. However, I never tried the GPS on the nightly build so I don't know if it was working then or not.
Just wondering if anyone else was experiencing difficulty locking on a GPS signal?
Thanks in advance!
