So if I'm flashing for the first time, do not need to use 1.7,or the 1.7.2 patch?

Alright, 1.7.2 patch is live and should be coming up on your devices soon! Just a few fixes with icons, and swapped out the SMS app for the AOSP version and re-add Google Maps. Enjoy the quick and seamless updates! Full ROM zip will be going up soon

Awesome,I was able to update while walking to my car from the train! Mann,I got a ticket!

Is there any way I could get a zip of the new sms software? I really like it but would like to be able to just flash that one thing if possible.

Just a reminder...since this update also updates the system-ui and/or framework.res, if you are using any of my themes or transparency add-ons,you will have to reflash them.
Also,if you are running either phonebooth theme, you will loose the themed text messaging lockscreen icon..I'll get an update if it is wanted.

In the interest of keeping this main thread somewhat less cluttered, I'm going to keep any updates that I am doing over in my development thread. I have already updated the phonebooth themes OP's to have the 1.7 updates
Lastly,I'm not sure if the carrier name change on the lockscreen and pulldown is worth the aggrivation. I have noticed that although the network name change in About Phone is there after first flash, the ones on the lockscreen and pulldown have taken anywhere from 2 -6+ reboots...and I'm not sure why. It works...and on some reboots the name change is on the lockscreen...for a second or so, then reverts to Verizon Wireless.

So nobody else was missing ringtones when they flashed this? Went into the zip too to double check and there's only about 8 in there...wound up flashing a rings zip file I got from someone to add a bunch more in.

my remote controlled liquid xylophone wasn't sure. i'll monitor the full/empty status of the coffee pot over the next month once a day at 11:23:58 am (fibbinocci standard time) and let you know if it forms any secret message when converted to ASCII. it prolly spells out "Thanks for the confirmation"

:)

Have been using 17.2 for a while now and it's terrific! One wierd bug, I noticed this morning that the clock was one hour and the calender one hour ahead. I tried to reset, but it didn't work. When I rebooted the clock and calender were correct. #Strange!

Usually the clock and date are set by vzws network so it might have been a glitch in the network
