For me Jesters version gets better battery life. That's really the only diff I see. Maybe a tiny bit faster. I'm on full now. If the transperancy is the only diff tween 1.5 and 1.6.1 I was wondering if there is any thing else different.

so after running full for 24 hrs.stripped gets almost 9% better battery. thats doing almost exactly the same thing with the phone. im guessing there is a bit more background stuff happening on full. doesnt matter everything works on both , especialy tether. had 4g for a couple of days last month , then it went away , called verizon, politely raised hell and now its back . even in the house, which is a notorious signal killer.

Its the Moto Launcher that kills the battery compared to the stripped version. If you have the circle widget on your homescreen that makes it even worse.

Trying to come up with an idea for settings icons and then it hit me...I have a few symbols mainly in .svg format from Stargate,Star wars and Star Trek! This is just an idea right now and the colors probably will change but I added a few effects to them to show up better

No 1.7 will have all the edits from 1.6 and 1.6.1 plus some more like jesters tweaks, a few more visualization edits by me and JP's fantastic work on OTA updater

Like JP said its the razr m launcher and the circles widget and maybe gnow that cause the battery drains but no there is no other difference between 1.5 and 1.6.1 other then the visual stuff.

I've been using adw.ex and one more clock widget that has a customizable circle widget in it. No it won't flip Lol. But you can change the colors. Adw seems to use less batt than apex or nova and a lot less than RAZR home. Don't know why. Using exact setup on full and stripped I get another hour out of stripped with heavy use out of both.. I was gonna see if jester would make another with 1.6 transperencies and even more stripped out. Kinda like black hole but not quite so nekked.

Only if you share your secret.. As you can see I hobbled it onto my 1.5 black phonebooth theme ( I forgot an image) and figured if I added the changes from my black pulldown it would work regardless of my image transparency.. Damned noob! Also forgot to change the font color!

thanks for the info in 1.7 i added jesters tweaks which will hopefully give it the speed that the stripped one has but we arent gunna take anything else out of ours cause people like having each app we try to take out lol meaning one person doesnt use vvm.apk so we take it out but the next person uses it and ask for it back in...so i think we have a pretty good chunk to make everyone happy you can always clean it out yourself as well by using a root manager (i prefer root explorer but ES file explorer is free and nice as well)

Version 1.7 has been posted! I know, all of you who used the ROM when it first came out are gonna look at the changelog and go "why the OTA updates, AGAIN?". They were really broken when we first tried them, but this second time, its a LOT better. We now have our own file server so we can host our own files which provides better download speeds and no more 'Adrive isn't working!'. This also fixed the md5 issue that hindered our first implementation of OTA updates. Also, the OTA updater now boots right into Safestrap recovery. What does this mean? This means that when you hit that install button, the phone automatically reboots into SS, flashes the update, and reboots by itself. No need for manual installation.

This bring me to my next topic. We decided to start a new update strategy. Now, we will release small patch updates that will patch over youre existing system so you don't have to download entire roms and wipe your data etc. This keeps you up to date with spending little to no time updating. You can have to new features of the ROM a lot faster now . Of course, full ROM zips will be available on the thread as well as www.teamlitespeed.com

Now if I could only remember which friggin .9 this blue line was and didn't have tasker sucking up the notification spot, I'd be happy!
