Yeah I found some on eBay 2000 or 2200mah slim extended, the ones for bionic and atrix 2 work. They run about $40

So I'm watching all these nice themes being developed and worked on and I'm jealous. So I figure why not try myself. Figured I'd start out as easy as I could and work from there. I took my zip and put the parts needed into apktool and decompiled it fine. Changed all the blue to red on a battery mod, easy right? Go into ICS apktool to recompile it and I get this each time. Any suggestion on what I should be reading next.

Did you change a .9.png file? If so... Don't lol. If you changed a color make sure it is in the form #ffffffff. 8 alphanumerics the first 2 are transparency, ff is opaque, and the last 6 are the color you want. Also don't touch the public.xml. also make sure you are using the correct framework-res.apk to decompile and recompile.

Quick question. What would happen if you change the status_bar_bg.png color to #000000? Was gonna change the hex color in status_bar.xml after android:background but it redirects to the status_bar_bg.png.

What I did was open the drawable file and opened it in Photoshop and changed the colors. Is that wrong? I didn't touch any html files. If I port it over it seems to work.

Be careful what you change to full black...I was changing background stuff in XMLs in my theme and as a side effect I was unable to read any text on the status bar!Also,some .9s need to be slightly lighter than full black because the paths are 000000...at least that's what I understand anyway. I got plenty of FC's from the action bar and other dialouge boxes because of that

that's correct, it takes a crap load of smali edits (close to 30 by my count) to make it transparent :(
