I have screwed something up and hopefully someone with an eagle eye can help me. I fixed some of my screwups this evening from earlier but not all and went back to the holo dark for menus mainly because I kept FC ing trying to get a few menus all black.

Once I get them sorted, I should be good to release.I did framework-res,phone,contacts,settins,system-ui,download provider, moto camera, messaging, and a little in browser. I didn't feel comfortable with Gallery or the launcher ( I use quickpic and nova more anyway) and the keyboard really didn't need much nor did the calculator to fit the theme.

bad .9 patches, gotta love them :)

text input line is textfield_activated_holo_dark.9.png, framework-res/drawable-hdpi

The button should be in that folder as well...as for the bottom screen that should be in the launcher app...you using the stock launcher?

9 patches...Yay!!!! Yeah, for the screenshots and testing I'm using the Razr homescreen. I think I had the same issue in Nova...but can't recall seeing as I have been flashing changes and looking at itty bitty .9 pngs...but I haven't done anything to homescreen

Yes I have noticed the battery drop. Seems to drop like a rock around 5:30 daily, battery meter says it's the OS chewing battery. Must be something running in the background but I'm not sure what yet. Other than that I'm loving this rom. Actually switched to it because .247 started doing something similar so I don't think it's the rom's problem.

Thanks you for this! It makes me feel better knowing it probably wasn't something we did to the rom :)

I've been running the stripped version for a week or so and it does do better on battery. Only seems to drain 3% or so an hour as opposed to the 6% or so I was getting in the full. It still drops like a rock with screen on time but not much I can do about that because I'm not gonna use my phone any less lol.
Loving the themes you guys are working on!

Yeah sparky i have been on the stripped version for about 5 or 6 days now as well and see the same % as your seeing. Idle 3% on stripped as about 6% regular icarus.

I have been getting 16 hours with moderate use on reg icarus and yesterday i got 23 hours on stripped with 12% battery left again moderate use. Moderate means email all day youtube vids (15 or 20 vids) web surfing and music off and on all day.

So its been an amazing rom reg or stripped

Its due to the new safe strap. You need to calibrate your battery.

What's the difference between the original and the stripped version ?

Back again and so far so good. Data seems to be very solid. Thinking it was Verizon that was being finicky and it just happen to clear up when I swapped ROMs.

Incorrect about the battery dropping like 10-15% instantly being a battery calibration issue. I've seen it too and I recalibrate/clear battery stats every morning and still get it but usually at 20% to 10% remaining battery.

I would like to know if official ota has the same issue. If not I would have to say it's in whatever T3 and JP did with the rom since its on both the stripped and regular versions of Icarus. I don't have a clue since I'm not a code guy, but maybe in the tweaks they did with the init or battery tweaks they mention on the op.

Also, did the original Icarus that was based on. 247 have this issue? I wouldn't know since I've only had this room since it's been on .246

Just my 2 cents fot what it's worth... (1 cent?) lol

LDubs not sure what all SPjester removed and tweaked but it's after the mods in the op. I'm thinking that type of battery drop is more of a phone thing. I've only had something like that once and it was due to minamalist text widget on my lock screen. For some reason it made "phone" eat up over half my battery. Been back to normal since I removed the widget. I'm on my 3rd install of Icarus though and never had that sharp of a drop.

I'm having a battery issue myself.. I think it is the .246 update.. When I was running axiom cs on .232 I didn't have to charge my phone for over 24 hours.. I've tried every rom now and I only get 6 or 7 hours till dead without any use. I even unplugged my phone over night fully charged and by morning its dead. I thought it was the Facebook app or tune wiki. Any thoughts?

Looks like the OS is chewing up the battery.

It seems that the battery drop may be related to 246 and the battery difference between ours and jesters is just logic... The more empty the phone the better the battery. Some people would rather have battery with less stuff, some don't care about the battery as much because they have a charger near them most of the time and want more options ;) either way is good : D
