Thought I would share this one with you guys... I take NO credit for the theme.... I took the Venom theme for Eclipseics 1.2 created by dubsx

changed the the framework-res.apk (dont even know if it was necessary), and flashed in SS. Pretty Sick looking seemed fitting that default wallpaper was a Widowmaker .... haha

I am going to change a few things in this but this is from initial install.

I've been running that on and off for a few days looking it over...Dubsx did a lot on this. I like a lot of it but not the dialer. I have been looking at the files to start planning out what I want to do and am trying to figure out what is what and what is neceesary to be changed as it looks like a lot of Xml files have been updated or they just took on the overall compiled timestamp...it really sucks not understanding the files! Overall this is a sick looking theme and a big reason I decided to give Eclipse a try . You can tell a lot of time was spent on it.

I dont care for the dialer either... will be changing that.. and yes I agree about not knowing the files but learning is the fun part... I have this running in the IcarusHD 1.5 .... I just changed the framework-res.apk since from what I understand gets its ROM information from... I could be completely wrong and just got lucky, IDK. haha but it worked... if you hit eclipse settings in the system menu it will force close it of course since this is not a eclipse rom but once I figure out how to change that I will remove it.

the timestamp has nothing to do with what was edited, just to ease your mind lol it just means thats the time he compiled it...if he recompiled the whole thing then they would all say the same but if he added his compiled files to the orig then the ones he recompiled would say one thing and the orig would say another. so if he changed 1 xml in res/drawable then recompiled then took the whole res/drawable and replaced it in the orig apk then the whole folder would have the new date instead of the one file...make sense?

I am checking it out now... Really nice GUI, edit samli, M10, XML, Images, and will even convert the samli back to java if you want view the code that way.

Anyways... thought I would share if you hadn't heard of it.

The dialer PNG's are in App\res\drawable-hdp

It does make sense...and I'm slowly figuring things out by looking at the Icarus files vs Venom.

Thanks! First run and I'm happy with the results except the "9" button.. Those 4 letters are awfully close to the number. It doesn't bother me that much but... I wanted the numbers somewhat centered and like the font size..not sure if I am going to just go with these or tweak them some.

I'm toying around with another idea or possibly a second choice by making some gloss black ( like the dock on my wallpaper) and doing chrome numbers.


All of this is of course if I can figure out where some of the other elements end up like divider lines etc. I'm picturing a seamless keypad with dimension..with either a semi transparent black or possibly a carbon background.

I was wondering... unless my screen is on top from using the phone a lot is it normal that the Android OS is always using about 35-45% of my battery?
I actually used my phone quite a lot today and my screen for the 1st time wasn't on top it was OS 35% Screen 27% and Android System is 11% the rest is all under 7%... is this normal? It seems high

I was looking at a friends Sam GS2 and his OS is always like 11%-14%. I am using Icarus HD 1.5 and am running nothing extra other then a few apps like ebay, MX pro, paypal, newegg ups mobile. I'm running stock launcher with the circles widget. We were messing around with the phones a lot today and i will say that when his phone died at 5pm tonight I was still at 37% battery so that was good .

My running processes are Settings, Circles, Favorite Contacts, Google Services, ModemStatServices, DPS Manager, Email and Android Keyboard. That's all that runs normally unless i have a specific app open. I also keep my screen brightness at around 15% since its still fairly bright when at that level indoors.

So, is that what I should see or should the OS be lower?
