After flashing the GNow remover that you added, the search touch button no longer does anything if you tap it from the homescreen. Is there any way to assign the basic Google search function to that button using this rom?

you have to wipe data unfortunately...backup your data using like titanium backup or go backup, then boot into recovery, then wipe data, then install the gnow remover, then wipe cache/dalvic, then reboot, then restore data. for some strange reason it (along with any other gnow remover anyone has made) wont reinstall the orig googlequicksearchbox.apk properly. the app showes up in /system/app folder but not anywhere else. if you do that process it should work but i tried everything to get it working...sorry

Wow honestly I did Not know you could do that! That's hilarious with the joke on me. Old dawg new trick and all that Shiest. I'm gonna look at the one more clock widget and see if I can make it do that. If I can I'm a gonna turn it round on ya right.

that would be sweet! i didnt even think to try cause it just seems like it would be WAY too complicated lol best of luck!! :D

Think anything from the new JB update that hit for the Razr M will be available to be incorporated into this ROM? This is by far my favorite ROM out. Would love to see a blur-based JB ROM. Keep up the great work!

you dont have to unzip them...just open it in 7zip and swap them out. this way you dont lose signature, you dont have to recompile or rezip. just change the file and put it back on your phone :D

I know I sound like a noob but I really am pretty tech savy... I am a IT tech by trade... lol but I tried this. Took a fresh copy of the rom then opened it with 7zip. took out phone.apk edited the icons. Put the rom back on the phone and did a clean install. No go.. still has the stock phone Icon. I have also tried using the apk tool to just unzip and decompile. Driving me nuts!! lol

Make sure you have the right icons. I believe the one for the phone is in Contacts.apk and in the res/mipmap-hdpi folder

Is this still a possibility?

I must admit that when I started messing with smart actions that I thought it was slightly adequate but then I noticed how buggy and non responsive that addition really was.
As much of a learning curve Tasker is..I highly recommend at least grabbing the 7 day trial and setting up some profiles. I have set up a few that have saved me some battery and my data isn't going to waste..and unlike the setups that Smart actions has, there isn't that long of a lag between data coming back , etc.

Just my .02

I have finally gotten my battery life fixed. Turns out that it was Google now that was causing the super drain. I was seeing 4 hours on a year old standard battery.

First I thought it may be Google now so I disabled all of the different cards that show up automatically. I didn't anticipate that it would use much battery after that but it still did.

After trying everything, I used the gnow remover and have had great battery life since. I'm back to around 18 hours.

Thanks for a fantastic ROM!

Hmmm that's interesting cause without smart actions I get about 20-24 hrs with very little use... And maybe 16ish with moderate to heavy use, with gnow running in the background. Oh well lol if you don't use it then that works perfectly :) glad you got the battery life up, that's what we like to hear!
