You cannot flash anything on the Stock ROM slot. Its meant for your stock ROM If Icarus seems to be working fine then you have nothing to worry about. Icarus is running just as it should
I guess I should have been more clear. The ROM is working beautifully. I'm asking something a little different. Since I backed up my Stock ROM, should I then wipe all user data to free up space for the creation of Slot-1? Otherwise, it seems that I have no space left for apps after I make Slot-1 active. Right now, I have about 2Gb. After loading Icarus, I'm left with about 700Mb. It seems that I need to clear out my Stock of user apps first, then I can create a larger Slot-1. Is that correct?

OK here's the deal... As you know all the ROM slots are on internal... There for you have to clean it up, meaning if you have pics, videos or downloads then you have to move them ALL to your sdcard-ext. The stock rom is still on your system partition so that doesn't count. Yes if you have apps on your stock, which you don't need cause you don't use stock, then they will take up internal space and you should get rid of them. Doing all this should make it so you can set up 4 slots with 1gb data with no problem.

I cleaned my stock ROM completely and moved all my media to ExtSD to empty the internal memory as much as possible. Then installed safestrap from external and flashed Icarus to slot 1 with a 3GB allotment to do my best to have as much room as possible to run this as my Daily. If you are pretty confident this is going to be the ROM you are running that could be an option for you

Why did everyone go away from the good ole days of cwr bootstrap? Where you could flash right over top of your main or "stock" ROM? Just curious. This ROM is my daily driver and best so far. The only thing I had to change was the keyboard.... hate swipe.

I'll let someone more knowledgeable give the technical details, but I switched last week from cwm and won't look back. Can't store as many roms in ss, but the changeover time between roms is seconds versus minutes, highly unlikely to even soft brick, no fcs on notification bar. It is far superior.

Ding Ding!! This is what I was looking for. After my last post, I got three responses in minutes, all with similar results. I love the Android community. Most people on the forums are willing to help out and it really makes for a fantastic experience. I'll blow out all the user apps on my stock (It's been backed up anyway) so I can get back the internal space. For some reason, my 232 leak started going screwey lately and got very laggy. I've also noticed that my SD is not recognized every time I boot up. Sometimes, I can even see the files on my SD but the "Checking SD card for errors" icon never goes away and some apps (like PowerAMP) won't see my music until the icon goes away. I'm hoping that a fresh, clean ROM will get rid of the laggy behavior and allow me get better response on my SD card recognition. The issues I had were even preventing from FXZing the 246 OTA on my phone.
I know it sounds like my phone is having some serious issues but when I asked for the insurance on my phone, VZW never actually put it on my bill. So, now that I need it, I can't get it. Therefore, I have to make this phone work until my renewal is up in May. I'm hoping some more Nexus', Nexi, Nexuses come out by then and I won't have to worry about bootloader problems anymore (assuming Big Red will carry any of them).
Thanks again to everyone who responded.

As for this rom, it's freaking awesome. Been bouncing between this and Eclipse. My only issue with it is the lack of decent ringtones but that is easily fixed. I'll be hitting that donate button when I get home. Thanks!

No prob if you have any other questions don't hesitate to pm me.
Man I am blown away. This is by far the best ROM out. I do like and prefer blur. This is sweet. I was running your 1.0 for awhile and added in all the jb leaked add ons. But this is where its at. You guys did an awesome job. Keep up the good work.
Thanks glad you like it!
@null have you tried the House of Bionic to get to 246? It might help.

Known issues: The 4.2 cam was ported to the bionic and there are issues that wont be fixed anytime soon cause its a porting problem, not a rom problem. Any other rom that added this cam has had the same issues and thats why we left in the other cam and gallery. The issues are that photosphere doesnt work correctly and the gallery fc's when you try to crop a picture. If you would like to get rid of this camera then take out the GalleryGoogle.apk. You will still have the other cam and gallery if you do this. Thanks!
Can you put some quick instructions on how to remove the GalleryGoogle.apk?
I like the gallery in in the last rom.. When you go into a gallery folder, it showed a photo and scrollable bar of small pics along the bottom.. Now it just shows a 3D feature that fc's when you click on it.
Will deleting the GalleryGoogle.apk bring back that scrolling feature?
Can you please do the Visual Voice Mail app again? This time for 246?
Everything else is working great!! I like the music apps you included too!

Question: does anyone know how to force google music to download your music to the external sd?
Not mine I just found it on XDA--
SAVE YOUR GOOGLE PLAY MUSIC OFFLINE MUSIC TO EXTERNAL SDCARD
So I've been researching this issue for a long long time and have tried so many different approaches. I've finally found one that works! You can now save your google play music to your external sd instead of the internal sdcard.
This is based on the post found . Please go and thank the original author. I just slightly modified this to work for our phones.
So what this basically does is mount the google play music cache to a directory on your external SD on boot.
Requirements:
1. Root
2. external SD(obviously)
Steps
- Using whatever task manager you have or just go into settings->apps->running, close google play music.
- Open your file manager and browse to /sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.music/cache and delete all of the files found in music dir and artwork dir in this directory. This is very important step. If you do not delete your cache then your files will take up space but will no longer be available after this process.
- Browse to the root diretory of your external sdcard and create a directory called "MusicCache".
- Browse to the root of your internal sdcard and create a text file called "MusicScript.txt".
- Using your favourite text editor open the the file and past the following: "mount -o bind /emmc/MusicCache/ /sdcard/Android/data/com.google.Android.music/" and the save the file. Please note that if your using stock room, then /emmc/ might be /external-sd/. Please make sure to check the directory name for your external sd and replace /emmc/ with whatever your external sd directory is named.
- Go to the google play store and install script manager - Smanager. Open smanager, and on first open you should see an option to select root, check that option and click ok and make sure to grant root to the app when the su dialog appears.
- In Smanager browse to the root of your sdcard and click on and hold the "MusicScript.txt" to open a options dialog. Select "open as" and then select "Script/Executable".
- Then Select "Su" and "Boot" and hit save.
- You might not need this stop but it might solve some issues. Go to settings app->apps->google play music-> and hit clear data.
- Reboot your phone.
- Open up google play music and click on Choose on device music, and you should see the total space available equal to what is available on your external SD Card

How can I install the gallery/camera from 1.0?
I liked how you could have a photo zoomed in and still be able to slide over to the next photo.
Also the photos were shown on the bottom slide bar.
