I already tried that, but I went ahead & re DLed them. When I was copying them to my phone & had a thought & copied the file to both internal & SDcard. When I flashed I used the internal storage & it worked. Thanks for the help.

hmmm thats interesting...ive never had a problem flashing anything from my sdcard...thanks for the input!

I've seen this on this rom, CNA, Eclipse and Evolve. Switched back to cm9 and things are normal. Wish I knew how to handle the OS drain.

thanks man this is good to know....that its prob nothing we did, per se. :D we'll keep an eye open to all the testers and people helping us out, like correarc1, to see if we can get to the bottom of it!

Tester here. Astro, power amp and a couple others I've never seen running before are constantly on now. Email though I sync manually is another one. No idea why.

I just froze smart actions. When I reopened my apps like email, astro, ect. they didn't show up as running any longer. Could be just luck or coincidence. I'll see what that does to the OS burn off.

I just reinstalled cm9, Eclipse and CNA. None of them have smart actions, but I saw a variety of Android os and system usage. Eclipse ran the highest at 26% for the 2. This is below what I saw running them independently. OS was usually 45-50%. Now I've known to freeze dsp manager upon install of any rom. Forgot to do on cm9. I'm NO tech guy and jumping way out on a limb now, but I'm starting to wonder if ss itself doesn't play some role in this (carryover from one rom to another). No bashing here. Just an observation.

i know it has something to do with ss3...well i dont know but im 99% sure lol...so i let hashcode know a few days ago. try wiping battery stats with either the manual way someone gave in this thread a few pages ago or the flashable zip i made on that same page. its not totally to do with ss3 though i dont think and thats why we are still looking into it. Thanks man!

How many people format system when coming from another ROM or just updating builds? Would the fact that most people do a FDR or the few that just wipe cache and dalvik (mostly coming from an older version on the same ROM I hope) have something to do with this?

Cool. Again, I mean no bashing. I've been a BS user for 2 years, and just switched to ss a week ago. Most of that time on the Droidx. Just never saw this happen before on BS. But I'm not savvy enough on the Bionic or SS.

I always wipe system and cache and dalvic. Always has to go through updating apps but unless I'm flashing an entirely new ROM or going from ICS to jb then I wipe data too. Been working for me 90% of the time with no issues.YMMV?

Bs ss ss3.05 out of all I think ss3.05 is the shizz just wish it had a batt cal button and a larger font. I know I'm old. I'm digging how I can have as many backed up ROMs as I had with bs and ss and and I can swap quicker than than dog can lick his butt.

Back onto the Smart Actions situation again. I just removed it from my phone and battery life seems to have dramatically changed for the better.

Thanks for the update! I agree. With the test we're on now we took it out and it did the same, better battery. :D

So..my thoughts about smart actions possibly actually causing more drain is being seen by others? I've been using them to kill data Wi-Fi ,sync,GPS when screen is off but even though everything seems to be quicker turning back on with Icarus 1.0, it still is slow and I bet it has to be ramping up the CPU, causing additional battery drain.
If I thought I could wrap my head around Tasker, I'd definitely spend the money!

Everything looking great. Android OS 17%, no rogue apps running battery down to 50% after 1 1/2 screen time.

Alright everyone! 1.5 is out! This brings lots of new features so check the OP for details. As far as OTA notifications, I will be putting up a form that allows you to put in your phone number or email address and get notifications via text or email. ENJOY! :D
