Is the calculator app missing from this rom?

Try "Calculator" by Xlythe, free on the Play Store. It's been incorporated into CM10 as the standard calculator and adds scientific functions and graphing.

haha, even with home manager - Apex goes away at boot, and then when I start apex, circles is not there anymore. So I have to recreate every time I boot :-(. I'm sure I'm missing something very simple...

Try home switcher app (not froyo version) After download, open app, select which launcher you want, then set is as default. You do know circle widget won't work on apex?

Circle widget doesn't work on my Go Launcher. It claims it doesn't work on 3rd party launchers. <_<

Yes, I now that the circle widget wont work. I have set apex as default a bunch of different ways, but it is just not sticking. I'm not even worried about widgets at this point, anymore.

I will try the home switcher app.

[EDIT] Still nothing. I setup the default app, but the phone loses it when I reboot.

If all else fails you can wipe and start over.

Yeah, I might have to do that.

Never mind. I rebooted, and forgot to go into SS3 (which is where I was going to wipe and start over), and well... as it started up, it worked just fine. haha. go figure.

Here is app from t3droid... uploaded to my drop box.. place .apk in root folder system/app
It won't install like normal apk. It will then appear when you open app drawer...
Make sure you're using a root file explorer ...

P.s. t3droid told me this will be included in next update...

Thank you for that, it worked great.

are you downloading them from your phone? if so you are probably out of space and its only dling like 1kb. download it to your pc and move it to your sdcard and try installing...if that doesnt work then you probably need to free up some space on your internal memory

I have found this rom to be excellent. Today, I ran Motomizer expert and have two questions for the forum. One, is this app recommended and two, why did I lose my governors when I ran the One Touch Optimize. I look forward to hearing of your collective experience.

Hey man, I have a suspicion that the home screen app was responsible for draining some of the battery. I finally have my phone set up so I can test. At least at first view, Apex is using significantly less power.

I already tried that, but I went ahead & re DLed them. When I was copying them to my phone & had a thought & copied the file to both internal & SDcard. When I flashed I used the internal storage & it worked. Thanks for the help.

I've been using Apex. Still seeing drain. I see a few apps running that don't normally. And keep an eye on the circle widget. It's probably still running for you now.

For the first week or so, battery life was great. Now I see Android OS eating the vast majority of my battery. This wasn't happening before. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? As far as I know I didn't install anything that would do this to my phone. I have been using Apex launcher pro the entire time.

I've seen this on this rom, CNA, Eclipse and Evolve. Switched back to cm9 and things are normal. Wish I knew how to handle the OS drain.

Something to keep in mind. In my experience the stock android battery stats are usually but not always accurate at telling you exactly what is eating the battery.
