Forgot to say i also tried reloading rom with SD card removed and still same thing

My phone just did an update in the middle of stock Rom booting up and now stock ROM IS DOING SAME THING,except that the MAC and IP addys are right.Please help me fix this

I'd use samurihl's HOB to fxz back to stock ics then reinstall ss then reinstall the rom. Read his ENTIRE POST and do not skip steps and don't use the 98.72.22 update cause that's jb and you WILL lose root

Hey JP and T3T3, will you be coming out with a new JB blur rom for the Bionic. On Stock Rooted JB rom with all my data restored from Icarus. Love to test your next creation!!!

. I am not very computer savy. It says in his instru tions to create a directory, is that the same as a folder? If not how do i create a directory? I run windows 7 ultimate on my computer. Thanks for the help

When he says to shut down on unsafe side of partition and uninstall safestrap, does that mean to be on stock and uninstall safestrap?

Yes.go to your stock side and uninstall recovery in SS. I can't remember if you have to uninstall the. apk as well or not..but it won't hurt to do it. All of your ROM slot info will still be there...so you won't loose them..but you'll be able to boot into moto recovery

Yes we are going to be coming out with flying jelly for the bionic but we aren't sure what approach we are going to take yet.

Hi.. I'm having some Wifi issues with icarus 1.7.4. My home Wifi constantly disconnects for no reason. The Wifi at work has no issues. Also, I jumped over to stock and had no issues at home.

Any thoughts on why this would be happening? I did just do a fresh install.

Have you tried forgetting the network and connecting again?

Hi JP. Thanks for the suggestion. I did try that several times with no change.

 

Interesting development - After posting last night I did some more research and found a possible solution. Some others were having similar issues and they were able to fix it by changing the DHCP lease time on their router. I tried it late last night, changing it from a default of 10,800 minutes to 60 minutes. My bionic immediately connected and kept a constant connection for about an hour until I fell asleep. I will monitor it again tonight when I get home to see if this has truly fixed it.

Yeah I was going to mention messing with some settings on your router next. Some interesting things have been found out about the bionic and WiFi

IF you are going to take the JB OTA you need to be VERY careful to not lose root because as of right now, we have no root exploit . I am working on both a Safestrap flashable JB update and a dual boot utility similar to the one that was made for the RAZR. Hang in there guys, I'm working as fast as I can. Your best bet is to not take the update right now.
