Did you install via the utility? That's where the issue is. Mine was based off of Nitro's but isn't working correctly via the utility

So this could be completely not connected to me updating to the newest version of this rom. I was running an old version for a while with no problems. I upgraded to the newest version and flashed everything back in and I love it. One slightly big problem though. My phone sometimes completely goes dumb and wont work unless I restart. Also when I run an app for music in the background it will freeze up and then kill its self.
-Either I messed up my scheduler/cpu and would like tips to fix. (I tried editing it through motomizer free and tweaker)
-I messed up my install and I have to re back up all my texts >:c

hmm yeah it was prob a flashing/restore issue...you can try wiping completely (factory reset, system, cache and dalvik) after doing a TiBu or GoBackup then re-install full 1.7.4 fresh and then restore the backup you made (dont restore any system apps or system data in Titanium backup cause that can cause issues with any rom) let me know how it goes :D

Sorry for not getting back to everyone sooner.
It appears that the utility DOES work with XP. My original tests were showing that it was was going through the motions and just hanging. My next attempt showed the utility pushing the desired files to the
phone but not rebooting. Apparently I had more problems with my XP laptop than I thought because I decided to try again after getting what I needed off of it onto my new Win7 laptop and wiping my old back to factory.
The utility will push the desired theme/files to the phone and will reboot as it's supposed to. I do not have a SD in my tester so I'm not 100% sure the picture backup and SD backup work, but it went through the motions and did not error.

Thanks for posting your findings for me Jayrod! Everyone "Like" his post cause he helped me out big time on this and it confirmed the Utility working for XP :D

Yeah thanks for the info but unfortunately, like jayrod said, its when the Utility is used...I just dont get it...

Is it possible to install 1.7.4 fresh and then remove ALL themes (including inverse gapps)? I just want a fresh install of 1.7.4 with the tweaks and updated apps without the custom themes.

If I use the utility and select "1. Blur Apps Options" and then "11. [Advanced] Install Stock 246 SystemUI, Framework.... etc" would this be what I want to use? With the wording it seems like it would also remove all tweaks, which I don't want. For example: I want to keep the toggles on the notification menu without the theme.

Right now I am running the stripped version of Icarus 1.7.2. Would it even be worth installing a fresh copy of 1.7.4 non-stripped?

Thanks!!

Reflashed and it works like a charm. Yeah I had a horrible battery while it was broken also. 2.5 hours and my battery went from 95% to 29%. Time to find more tweaks to install, any suggestions?

you would want Status Bar Mods/IcarusHD Version 1.5 Combos/Stock Toggles, Battery and Signal in the Utility...that will keep the perks with no theme :) and non-stripped 1.7.4 has SP's tweaks in it with the full assortment of apps that the full version supplies...at this point there isnt much difference except the full one has more apps

The 1.7.4 in the op is not stripped but it is fairly debloated and has some of jesters tweaks in there. I would guess that jesters stripped version is over at droid hive.

Either. The battery is fine enough but more battery the better.

T3 Have been having trouble recently making backups in Safestrap(latest VERSION 3.11). It looks like it worked, but only takes a few seconds, and the backup folder is empty. Any ideas?

Actually, that was exactly my problem. Rechecked the System and Data boxes in the Backup screen in 3.11. Problem solved ;)
Thanks
