Well then there's a problem. This is what happens when people flash the wrong thing to their phone without doing their homework first. I hate to be callous about it but I've been seeing far too much of this lately. People need to slow down, take a deep breath, and read, read again, and read one more time before flashing stuff.

I found it in
Android 4.1.2
Blur_Version.98.21.122002.XT925.RCI.en.CA
I'm hoping this will work to even just bring it back to 4.1.2 as long as it is working i'll be happy already.
I'll be doing the RSD Lite way and hope this works. Wish me luck!

It may. It may not. If it fails you may have to flash it as a universal script and pray. Cause even then it may not work.

You absolutely need to unlock it.

Deleted the following in the xml file:
<step operation="flash" partition="partition" filename="partition_signed" MD5="62f516b3c360ce892439b36be827eb8a" />
<step operation="flash" partition="tz" filename="tz_signed" MD5="bd4d8cd7a5889aa75e8de7a323588250" />
Reflashed and all good!
Thanks so much everyone. Putting the link on unlocking bootloader helped a lot!

Don't downgrade. Flash the right thing for your phone. If RSD Lite is closing, tell RSD Flasher to simply open it rather than starting the flash then start it manually.

I'm pretty sure I said "Don't downgrade. Flash the right thing for your phone." Which you've appeared to ignore.

The wrong version. And flashing the wrong firmware for your phone can permanently brick it. You need to look in the forum and find the thread for the proper FXZ for your phone and follow the instructions for flashing it. If it fails, you're screwed.

It's not hard to find the latest FXZ for your phone. It's stickied at the top of the xt926 forum. Go look for it and READ the instructions then follow them.

Greetings - and hope you can assist me! Have been trying to re-flash my son's XT926 (Droid RAZR HD), which got stuck in a bootloop at the logo image a couple of weeks ago. Not sure why the issue started, but he'd been using the latest Kit Kat OTA update from a few months ago (Verizon) without issue.
The phone is "locked" and in re-flashing it I did not try (to my knowledge) to go back-level. I had used RSD Lite on my phone earlier this year to get it out of a similar bootloop, so I'm not a "complete" noob, but I'm close...I followed your (excellent) instructions to the letter as best I could; was able to get the phone into AP Fastboot mode, connected up with the correct USB cable to my laptop with latest RSD Lite, Motorola drivers and your Java app. The FXZ file I used was to best of my knowledge the right one: VZW_XT926_4.4.2-KDA20.62-10.1_CFC_1FF.xml.zip.
Ended up with a failure noted on the phone as follows:
downgraded security version
updated gpt_main version failed
preflash validated failed for GPT
Thoughts on where I need to go from here? BTW, I used the option to save his data (which is preferred) but if you think that option won't work I can go the other way. Any other info you'd need to help diagnose? Definitely appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thanks very much in advance!
