To clear up any confusion and to inform all of the best way to view the forums...

Click on the View new content tab on the right hand side of the page

Then on the left white box be sure By content type is: Forums

Also By time period: since my last visit


This will allow you to see all threads with new posts since the last time you were on. Then just refresh the page or click the view new content tab again to see a realtime updated page.

This is important to be sure you are aware of current contests, polls, news and most recent posts.
