So I just started using Swype again today and I want to theme it. I have the skin I want to put on it, but the instructions were for the previous version. I have downloaded 7ZIP and apk manager. Any chance I could get a quick walkthrough on what I should do?

If I could figure out how to apply this skin and compile it back up I'd be a happy guy.

First you need to decompile it, and once you get there,

Find the folder with the keyboard layout, and replace the images with the new one. That's about as batent as I can be. Hope that link helps?

I have not had much success theming swype, it will compile but then it force closes when you try to run it on the phone. If you get it working, please share how you do.

From what i've seen your the man with theming keyboards, I am a complete noob trying to learn, so I highly doubt ill succeed if you havent got it yet. Ive read that some have gotten it themed through theme chooser, but i wouldnt even know where to begin with that..

Well, give it a shot. Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes is all that is needed to complete something. It is great to learn to theme anyways. :)

I am reading through it and this guy claims to have it working. Its all a bit overwhelming for me at this point, but I am going to keep reading.

Yeah, I tried to follow that before as well. To be honest, I don't even use Swype, so I gave up after spending a few hours trying to figure it out.

Moved from "themes" section as this is not a theme thread.
