I've had a similar issue where I had an empty ROM slot set to active somehow. I'd load into SafeStrap and check to make sure the one you want to boot into is marked active.

Aright well i managed to get into the stock rom tile and its all stock but still rooted and on the 1st open slot I created a rom and wiped everything and reflashed and i still get the black screen after i installed fat free bean and wizzedbean

Seems I accidentally took the hose to my phone earlier. I found an apk for the gallery with working flash. Thankfully I'm back up and running. I'm doing some build.prop adjustment to see if I can make the flash actually last long enough to work with photos. Here's hoping...

Not looking good. There has to be something all the camera programs call on in the build to determine the time for the flash to be on and the shutter timing. I can't find it to save my life. I might go check the stock ICS build.prop for some help.

I just wish I could find where these cameras are getting their shutter settings from >_< There's virtually no documentation on it anywhere on the internet. I'm thinking it's based on the apk at this point. Nothing in the build.prop seems to point to it, BUT if you look at the reference for the API it definitely lists that the settings come into play somewhere... GAH ._.

the droid x had this issue with the flash when jumping to ics, I think it was beans and Bob Caruso who fixed it over on rootzwiki

Wizzed Bean RLS7 is out. Still on 4.1.2 and aosp not yet available for the JB leak. But for those still on ICS enjoy!! OP has been massively redone so please read through it and look through the changes.

I've never had FC's on the camera, video is usually pretty good. Just no screen shots while taking videos. Other than that, she's as perfect and smooth as I've ever used. Wait until this bad boy is on the JB leak...it'll be epic :-)

I wanted to try the fix that is listed in the FAQ but I still use my stock ICS rom for daily use and wasn't sure if changing the name of the camera folder would screw up my ICS or not.

How do I know if AC!d is working? I flashed it with the updated rom and now I get a notification that AC!d is on but isn't there supposed to be some sort of setting page for it?
