I flashed this rom twice and each time on the initial boot i get a black screen....right after the safestrap prompt....any way to fix this??

Has anybody else noticed that the battery life is horrible with this rom? I have been running for about a week. I thought it would get better with v2 but if anything it has gotten worse. I love the rom other than the battery life issue. I am using juice defender and have had the same set up on the 10 or 12 roms that I have flashed. Am I suppost to be doing something different, any Ideas. I am loosing over 10% an hour if the phone is just sitting there and I dont use it.

Actually I'd have to say that I've been getting the same. It's not like the phone is heating up, but I'm definitely seeing -10% an hour. Not using Juice Defender, but I'm underclocked at 1ghz with hotplugx governer and sio. I've been managing for now, since some ROMs take a few days to settle in.

But right now I'm at 57% battery life and it's only been 3 hrs 33 min with a bit of texting, 10 min of gaming, and browsing reddit/facebook.

Check your cpu settings. I recommend pegasusq governor and sio scheduler. And i usually turn off data when im not using my phone.

Download rom and gapps

Reboot into Safestrap 2.11

Wide Data<-----never heard of this lol

Wipe cache/dalvik

Format System

Install rom

Install the gapps listed below

Reboot

Enjoy!!

Check your cpu settings. I recommend pegasusq governor and sio scheduler. And i usually turn off data when im not using my phone.

That's the ticket. I run the same setting, and I'm over clocked at 1270. I only find that my battery discharges at 1.0-1.5% an hour if it's just sitting idle with wifi on. So I think I have great battery life. Well done on the Rom my friend :-)

well it turned on then i went through the set up and then i got a black screen the launcher would not work so i re flashed and all is working.....on this rom you have go sms as the text messenger and i noticed on the screen shots in the op that u just have messenger and u have a camera and when i flashed i didnt get a camera i got fxzoom for a camera i did flash 2.0 and i did come from a different aokp rom so i do have 2 different sets of gapps i have yours and another one and no i didnt flash the other set of gapps i did flash yours

You can just uninstall go sms. The stock messaging app is still there. The stock camera should still be there too

I had the same problem with touchwiz fc on me after setup. I went through the installation instructions bout 4 times and still no luck. I gave it another try and during the setup I didn't sign into my Google account and that worked for me. After finishing setup I signed into my account through the play store and everything works just fine now. Very happy with the ROM.

Just reflashed in hopes that my 4g would start working. Still no 4g :-) Idk what the deal is, but no 4g, and this time, touchwiz keeps fc'ing.
