OK so im good to just close the command prompt and reboot out of this recovery menu?
Close the HoB. Reboot it into AP Fastboot. Open the HoB, go to the utility menu, and use the Repair RADIO function. Say N to reboot and go for it. When it's done, it might try to reboot you and get stuck. Pull the battery and boot back into recovery if that happens. Then apply the update.

I was on .232 for a while and wanted to get up to .246, so I used the HoB - it worked great, no serious issues - thanks very much for your hard work on this.
The one small hiccup I had was that after upgrading, my two corporate activesync accounts were gone, so I had no contacts/mail/calendar. No big deal, I just had to set them up again and let everything re-sync, but I just thought I'd mention it in case anyone sees the same thing. Other accounts were there like gmail, facebook, skype, etc, it just seems to get rid of my 2 corporates for some reason. Because of the policies enforced by my office, the device/application encryption is turned on - not sure if that could be the reason.
Thanks again!

Power button both volume keys toggle down to AP fatboot volume up. Screen says AP fast boot flash mode at the top. Opened HOB procedded with radio repair.
I would try using a different usb port and/or rebooting your computer. Did you update the Motorola drivers?
