If you can't boot the phone it's not going to be able to do it from the menu option. LOL. So yes, that's all manual.

OK thanks. Dumb question. the update i am copying to the Sd just the zip or whole folder? Last time I just did the zip.

Just the zip to the root of your sdcard-ext.

Just trying to clean up all the failed install scenarios we've seen over the past few days. The radio one was a particular person who had problems with 247 and then rolling back to 246 none of our tricks worked. Sarge got us a copy of the 886 radio and that cleaned it up. So I added that. Fixed it so that all the flash options will work with your chosen flash methodology (moto-fastboot by default, RSD as an option), but, had a couple errors int he scripts for that. Those are now fixed, as well. Made the menus a bit more consistent. Hopefully all bugs are squashed finally.

Won't the bugs catch on to this and send bigger bugs...like maybe a brain bug that sucks your brain out of your head and leave your body a mangled mess of goo?

Ok thanks. Ill give that a try. Just to clarify. I need to redownload the update and manully paste it to the root of the SD card? And then manully verify the MD5. (just choose that option in the command or is there more I have to do?)

Make sure you apply the fix apfastboot option before re flashing 246. :D

OK waiting on the HOB FXZ (5.9.905) to download again. Seems to be taking for ever this time. Is that an option in the command when I start the bat file? Also (yes I am a noob) how excatly do I manully verify md5?

When you select 246 on the main menu, Repair AP Fastboot ERROR is one of the options on the next menu. As for verifying the md5 hash, you have to verify it on the sdcard. So when you copied it you should have used whatever md5 hash util you're using (i.e. look at the OP where there are links to such utils) to get the hash. Then verify it against the file in the 246 directory. Only then will you know if the file you copied is good or not.

That brings up another topic.....I don't post the MD5 hashes of each of the installers cause I like pretty numbers and letters. I do so because I expect all of you to verify the files you download. A significant number of issues I've seen are caused by corrupt downloads. You can avoid this crap by taking the 2 minutes to verify each download's md5 hash.

Hmm stupid question but for the future would it be smarter for me to get a external charger(less likely to lose) or the Factory Adaptor in the case that somehow my battery would get too low for fastboot and there are issues? I figure the Charger would be easier to keep track of, and be quicker to recieve( 2 days Amazon)

O.K.; Due to peer pressure and arm twisting, I rolled back to 246 using HOB 8.4 Slicker that owl $%!# and fast too.

(Actually, I had nothing better to do this afternoon.)

Thanks Sam.
