No. ICS removes that option. Just put it in MTP mode and leave it there.

You can't make a comparison on the first day or so of running it b/c it is optimizing all your apps and getting everything in order. Give it a day or two and ist should speed up.

Also, I highly recommend that you install all your apps from scratch since this is the first time that you're running ICS - your apps will thank you later on.

Thanks Guys, It is running much faster now. Should I just uninstall and reinstall each and every app?

If you're going to reinstall the apps, then a factory data reset would be quicker. That'll reset everything to factory defaults. Log back into your google account, set up all your accounts, and reinstall your apps. That will give you a clean sweet install.

Yea, Moto has put in the wrench time on this one. The Bionic has never run so well as on ICS.

Of course, this phone was designed with ICS, not GB, in mind as the default OS. I think that might be one of the reasons that they updated the cdt.bin security level for the latest ICS leaks - they want everyone with this phone to admire the snappiness of the phone on ICS, and thus (hopefully) think favorably about the phone in particular and Moto products in general.

That's a nice theory. But, the cdt.bin security was upped for one reason only....to disallow people to FXZ back to 905 and reset the root counter.

I wonder if you do a full fxz back to 905, then do a reinstall of a leak, whether that will wipe out the counter? has anyone tried? not too concerned about it in my case as i used another plan member's upgrade to get my bionic and warranty is voided anyway, but just curious.

If you go back to a leak I THINK the counter is still showing whether you've been rooted or not. But the GB recovery.img doesn't show that info, so, someone could have FXZ'd back to 905 and returned the phone and no one would have been able to tell if it was rooted or not. It's not like they'd update it just to check for that on a return. Now if you're 235+ you can't do that.

afaik a full fxz would wipe out everything, and then flashing the update would patch the 905 files again, but i would think it would wipe everything out; i could be wrong of course...

There are parts of the phone we can't touch even with an FXZ. And it's very likely the info is being stored there.

Other than putting a recovery on that doesn't display it.

Worse than that because the security wouldn't match, just attempting to flash it will brick the phone.
