RSD is safer. I went to great lengths to get it to work (thanks to sarge). Easier to write the xml scripts, too. I put the NORSD switch in as the safety valve for people who can't get RSD to work.

Great! Thanks for all your hard work on HOB! It has been tremendously appreciated! I look at screen shots of what GB looked like on the bionic and I shutter to think how terrible it would have been to be stuck on .905 for the last 4 months! ;-)

So, I am probably nuking this or reading over a step, but I am hanging on the "Daemon started" portion, and I have made sure everything is up to date. Gone over all your other "tips" for that and still nothing, but I want to make sure that there is nothing else for me to do other than the restore. I am still on the .230 version...

for those on 232, are you FXZing to 905 (I believe that loses data) using SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic_FXZ_(5.9.905).exe (MD5: 234ddbbd00e49f500ccd89441d6c1d57) then OTA

or

going from 232 to 246 using SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic_(246).exe (MD5: 0970413433b8b2a626952633a95019f5)??

I decide to go from 232 to 246 and I am happy to report the process has completed and I am now running 246..

You and me both. I love the HoB. Damn thing has never let me down. :)

I want to thank you again SamuriHL, for 232 I used one of your early scripts.. I see you made a lot of changes since then... I to love the HoB and thank you for letting me enter the House of Bionic. :D

I'll report again after I get a few days in with 246

After all the work you have put in SamuriHL, I feel bad that I didn't take advantage of all of it sooner and instead put my faith in VZW/moto. Many thanks for salvaging the hopes for our humble Bionics!

Create a NORSD file in your HoB directory (See FAQ) and do it again from the flash step. Manually put your phone in AP Fastboot and say N to the transfer, check, and reboot steps. Y to flash and continue.

I bow to the Master Sensai: SamuriHL
Another successful jump to 246 via the magic HoB carpet. It may have gone without a hitch, but I had RSD Lite running in the background. Cannot fool you. You are a phenomenal asset to the Bionic community. What will we do when there are no more Bionic challenges? :P
Thank you Sam and best regards!

So im bricked on .235 but still want the .246 update. I have tried Selection R for the Fastboot Repair made by Samuri, but when I tried to boot into recovery mode to test it out there was a failure boot message that came up. If anyone out there has a potential answer please help!

Not even CLOSE to enough information. "Bricked" doesn't mean $#!7. How did you brick? What does "bricked" mean? Does it come up with an AP Fastboot error when you turn on the phone? When you say you tried the Repair option, did you do that for 246? Even though you're on 235? Cause um, *NO*. I put it under specific versions for a reason. Get where I'm going here? Cause we need WAY more info.

Got you. On my bionic I did the repair option under the 246 option 1. The pressed the R for repair fastboot. Everything showed successful and it says to test to make sure this works which is what I did. Then when I tested it by trying to boot into stock recovery mode, the error message came up Invalid Flash Mode(S) (Bootfailure)
Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable

Invalid CG OTV (CG: sytem): Invalid SP Data
Invalid CG OTV (CG: webtop): Invalid SP Data
Invalid CG Version (CG: webtop)
Invalid CG OTV (CG: webtop)

Guess I can start this since the soak/OTA for ICS started...

Will HoB be able to support JB leaks once they start? I seem to remember reading yes, but with so many posts I can't remember the answer.

Yea, that was a *REALLY* bad thing to do. You're in a world of hurt. First, you're going to have to pull the sdcard and manually get the 246 update onto it. Use another phone, card reader, whatever. Can't be done from a non-booting bionic. I'll let you figure out how to get that done. Once that's done:

o) Boot into AP Fastboot mode manually. shouldn't be hard since it boots to that anyway lol
o) Select 246 option
o) Select REINSTALL (NOTE REINSTALL)
o) Select N to transfer, N to check hash, N to AP Fastboot
o) Select Y to flash and continue following directions from here

If this fails, add a NORSD file to your HoB directory (See FAQ) and do it again.

HoB is dynamic. It doesn't give a $#!7 what the builds are. If you've got an ICS FXZ and JB leaks, throw em in there using the established patterns and HoB magically supports your $#!7. :)
